Shit, man. You got me all excited for nothing. 9:45 Pacific time. Here I am hitting the refresh button in the Eastern time zone.
One of the few times its nice to be on the west coast (time zone that is). I tried to catch some of umphreys couch tour but half of them started before I even left work.
Fuck Jack White. He called out the media after only 2 songs. Who the fuck does this guy think he is. Then he goes into this weird name game where he just name musicians from TN. The he starts talking about Johnny Depp of all people and Alber Einstein. I had to leave because it was just too much. I like his music and everything but he sounded like a fucking idiot. There was hardly hardly anyone there. The crowd only really went back to the beer stand behind the soundboard. Very disappointed in what I saw. Just shut up and play. We do t need any of that extra bullshit.
Ok that was all sarcastic and I don't care about anything he did. He sounded good and it was a good. He did do everything I posted previously though. The point of the post is to show all the Kanye haters how stupid they sound

Jack White capped off Bonnaroo’s third day in rousing fashion, delivering arguably one of the best headlining performances in the festival’s 13-year history.
White took the stage at 10:45pm and proceeded to play a 26-song, two-and-a-half hour set (some 45 minutes longer than their originally scheduled set time). The setlist comprised of material from throughout White’s career, including songs by The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather, and his two solo albums. Among the highlights, “Icky Thump” serving as set opener; the first performance of “Astro” in over three years; a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “The Lemon Song”; and “Seven Nation Army”, during which the entire field of 70,000+ sang along.
In between songs, White proved quite chatty. He began by taking a jab at Rolling Stone magazine, seemingly in response to his controversial cover story. “Who makes music happen? Does a tabloid like Rolling Stone make music happen?” he exclaimed. “You and I make it exist!”

Later, White dedicated songs to Detroit auto workers, 1930s blues musicians, and touring musicians. He also gave a shout out to Arctic Monkeys, who he shared a plane with from Los Angeles to Nashville, and Nick Cave, who he invited out for a drink the night before.
Below, watch video of the crowd chanting along to “Seven Nation Army” and check out the full setlist.
Setlist: Icky Thump (The White Stripes) High Ball Stepper (Solo) Lazaretto (Solo) Hotel Yorba (The White Stripes) Temporary Ground (Solo) Missing Pieces (Solo) Steady, As She Goes (The Raconteurs) Top Yourself (The Raconteurs) I’m Slowly Turning Into You (The White Stripes) Freedom at 21 (Solo) Three Women (Solo) You Don’t Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You’re Told) (The White Stripes) We’re Going to Be Friends (The White Stripes) Alone in My Home (Solo) Ball and Biscuit (The White Stripes) The Lemon Song (Led Zeppelin cover)
Encore: The Hardest Button to Button (The White Stripes) Hello Operator (The White Stripes) Misirlou (Dick Dale and His Del-Tones cover) Sixteen Saltines (Solo) Cannon (The White Stripes) Blue Blood Blues (The Dead Weather) Astro (The White Stripes) Love Interruption (Solo) Little Bird (The White Stripes) Seven Nation Army (The White Stripes)
Watching the live stream of Jack's set made me regret skipping Roo this year. Hopefully I can come up with enough money to see him at Forecastle next month.

Was I the only person disappointed by JW last night? I'm a huge fan, but that was the worst of the three times I've seen him live. It felt weird to have him talking to the audience so much, I wasn't huge on his setlist, and I thought his voice sounded really shrill in the mix.
And what the fuck is up with the scheduling this year? Multiple acts changing venues and set times... my friends and I left Jack White early because we wanted to catch some LN acts and were really confused about the timing. I would've liked to catch the full set though, it sounded like a sweet encore.

See the difference is, Jack was paying homage to those people and he used other ppl (Einstein, etc) to show examples of how all of us (even Jack) can accomplish much, even if you start with next to nothing. Quite different than what was said Friday night.

Not trying to start an argument, but I thought Kanye mentioned something about coming from the south side of Chicago. The difference between Jack White and Kanye West is Kanye's a black man/has a lot more going against him. He's angry because he has had the media go after him unfairly (sometimes he sets himself up, but take Katrina for example, he was dead right and everyone mocked him for it)
