They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.
Yes! I love that my favorite band is playing 15 min from my house! We'll be going for 2 2-day tix packages for the GA pit.
Good luck, from what I have heard it will be like Phish, and a lot have already been sold/given away by the band.
Was able to get reserved seats for Saturday 8th row and pit for Sunday. Definitely was a lot harder than I thought it would be. We tried the 2-day pit tix and pulled up lawn on the 1st try so we kept having to go back for individual days.

They just released more lucky dip tickets to the LP Field Stones show if anyone was hoping to go. I got a pair. 38 bucks a piece with fees. I'm sure it'll be in the nosebleeds, but I don't care for $38.

Hey what are you best bands in Nashville right now? Any genre.
I am loving Smooth Hound Smith and All Them Witches. Moon Taxi, The Weeks, Apache Relay, The Wild Feathers, That's My Kid, Omega Swan. Lightning 100 has a local artist of the week and they are often really great.
Hey what are you best bands in Nashville right now? Any genre.
If you're looking one step down from Moon Taxi/Diarrhea Planet, Wild Feathers or All Them Witches is probably the closest to them in readiness to break out. Los Straitjackets is from Nashville but they hardly ever play Nashville because their following is much bigger elsewhere. Smaller acts that I like a lot are repeatrepeat, Vinyl Thief, Machines Are People Too, Here Come the Mummies, and Turbo Fruits.

I'd just add Those Darlins, and Birdcloud is always good for a fun rowdy time.
Anybody headed to Failure and Queen Kwong tonight?

Anyone attending ascend amphitheater shows this week? I'll be headed there in 2 weeks for Elvis Costello/Steely Dan and interested in your impressions(like specifically if they really got it finished since last time I was in town it was a long way off from being recognizable as a venue). Also will be visiting Nashville in September for Godspeed and kraftwerk so excited about both of those as well.
I may try to scalp for either of Eric Church's shows, probably the second since Ryan Bingham is opening. We have tickets for Grace Potter/Lake Street Dive there in October.

A bunch of us are going to the Phish show next week. They are doing an open house on the place this Sunday. I plan on checking it out then.
Definitely let us know how it is. I've got tickets to Frampton/Cheap Trick and Old Crow Medicine Show next month, so I'm curious to see how it looks/sounds.
