Thanks Phi but I am in Nashville the weekend before that. I will still buy you a beer sometime since you scooped the Roo headliners and saved me some cash by allowing me to go presale knowing I would like headliners better than last year.
Ahh well if its April 1st then I and many others will actually be in Atlanta for Radiohead. But theres a symphony show that Sunday in Nashville where they are doing all Radiohead songs.

I'm going to that. Since I have to work that weekend and can't go to that Atlanta show it's my consolation prize.
Bulls live did not disappoint. Damn if they don't sound better every time I see them. That was amazing!
It was so good! We were at the very front to the left if you were looking at the stage. The pit was right to our right. I tried to avoid it as much as possible but was not giving up that spot hahaha.
I'm playing with two bands on Saturday March 4th, two weeks from today, at Springwater.
Drumming with the first band at 830, and fronting my band at 930. Come on out.
I don't think any of the people I invited are actually going tonight, so I don't expect any one here to go either.
I'd have been there if I was in Nashville.
I guess this dude is never going to come to Texas, but Nashvillians, on Tuesday March 21 you can see Kevin Morby along with Waxahatchee at Third Man Records.
Just picked up lawn tickets to My Morning Jacket. How close is the lawn at Ascend Amphitheater? I was looking at pictures and it looks like you have a pretty good view.

It's not bad. Get there early so you can get a good spot. Eat and drink before you go. You do not want to pay Live Nation prices. Lots of good restaurants around. www.bakersfieldtacos.com These guys are literally across the street. (ok, two streets over) Good tacos and drinks. You can bring in one water bottle. I bring in a 32 ounce frozen. Also can bring in a low lawn chair or blanket.

I love the Ascend. The view is good, sound is solid, beer and food prices are stupid. I second Druid recommendation of Bakerfield. Solid pre-game location.

Chips & Queso and a pitcher of Margaritas.
A pitcher of those margs had me stumbling my way to the last MMJ show.

We crucify surfbumdj for his alleged scalping and now it is celebrated. How fun.
Meh, I didnt buy the tickets with the intention of profiting. I just kept loading better seats and made 3 separate purchases. And I'm not listing them on Stubhub for hundreds of dollars either.
Nicolas Jaar tonight at Marathon was fucking incredible for the 200ish people who were there. They even closed off half the venue cause it was so undersold to make the venue look smaller. ACEnt definitely lost their ass buying this show but it was amazing and we got TWO epic encores.

Good lord. Seriously, this show was so fucking good. The sound was the best I've heard at the Marathon, the lighting was enchanting and Nico put on a really dynamic show. I love how he just ripped up some noise for the first however many minutes that was and then the show evolved how it did. There were some dicks at that show, but they had to deal with one of my favorite things about Nico's and producer's like him: He'll give you what you want, but you better believe you're going to have to wait for it. The gratification isn't instant, but it's so worth it when he lets the dancing develop.

..I had a good time.
Glad to hear it was such a good show, he really is amazing.
And you're exactly right, it isn't instant gratification but it's more than worth the wait.
Too bad it sounds like it was so undersold. He probably drew ~1k in Austin this last tour.

Yeah it was incredible. I brought three people who had never really listened to him before and they all left saying it was great.
Yesss! Glad some of you guys were at that Nicholas Jaar show. One of my favorite DJ shows I've ever been to. It was mesmerizing.. I didn't want to go back to real life after that.
I also haven't checked out this thread in a while, but I caught the All That Witches show without knowing anything about them, and they rocked. Waxahatchee and Kevin Morby was also really cool. First show in the Blue Room, and I think I teared up multiple times from the raw intimacy of the artists sets.
