Im most likely going to spring for presale tickets. Lineup is pretty darn good. Especially hip hop with Outkast, Earl Sweatshirt, & Chance the Rapper. Biggest head scratcher here is Foster the People headliner. This would have made sense three years ago. Have they even made any new music?

Coastline Fest was a debacle with their asinine beer rules (couldn't leave the ampitheater grounds with beer, even though there was a second stage, still fenced in, about 100 feet away) but I picked up some tickets since its an easy one to get to for me in Orlando.
Had to make sure I saw Outkast JUST IN CASE they don't show up on the Roo lineup, which they will, I know.

Purchased my ticket. Solid lineup for their first year. I'm very curious to see how it operates, compared to Coastline Festival. Coastline only allowed alcohol at the main stage (only two stages for Coastline) There's no way they can only allow alcohol sales in one of the 4 stages.
In a way, I want the festival to be empty like Coastline was, so the Pit will be easy to access. But I want the fest to do well, so it becomes an annual event. Orlando Calling was the same way a couple years ago. I wanted it to do well and come back each year, but it was nice being able to walk up 10 minutes before the Pixies/Killers/Bob Seger/Raconteurs and be able to comfortably stand 100 feet from the stage.
I'm deciding if I want to drive down each day from Orlando, or get a cheap hotel nearby. Hard Rock is literally across the street.
That's a pretty decent line up. Wish I lived closer, I would totally go. I didn't realize this was their first year, I feel like I've heard about this fest for a while now... Maybe I just heard about it really early? First I've actually looked at the line up though, anyone who goes should have a pretty good time!
I'm going Outkast day because they aren't at Roo. Hoping I can get up in the pit.
Same here, what's annoying is the $80 for the OutKast day, but the rest of the Friday lineup is garbage
agreed. One silver lining is that since the rest of the lineup is so boring I have no reservations about doing whatever it takes to get close for Kast. I feel like they tried to make the rest of that day garbage so people wouldn't do what we're doing.

I've never been to this venue, but since it's an amphitheater, will it be possible to get closer? Or is going to be reserved for the people who actually bought seats?

I have no idea how any of this works. I've been kinda freaking out about it. Hoping I didn't just spend $80 to see outkast from the "lawn". I'm going to get there when the fest opens on Friday and immediately find out how the GA Pit system works. I'll wait all fucking day if necessary to see them up close. It looks like the amphitheater is first come first serve for GA but I can not tell.
Jake Jortles, what would your dream OutKast setlist look like?
Its tough for me because I wouldn't even care if they didn't do Hey Ya or Roses but I'll include all of the party enhancing songs...
Can I do a 30 song setlist? lol
The songs in bold are the songs that I'm personally insane about
Hold on, Be Strong (Intro) Two Dopeboyz in a Cadillac Rosa Parks Skew it on the Bar B ATLiens Southernplayeristicadilac Players Ball Mighty O The Train (overlooked Idlewild track imo) Elevators Jazze Bell Aquemini Spottieottie Liberation (this two song stretch would be the closest thing I'll ever have to a religious experience) Da Art part 1 Da Art part2 Aint no thang Kryptonite The Way You Move Hey Ya So Fresh So Clean Return of the G Elevators Crumblin Erb Hootie Hoo Humble Mumble The Whole World Ms. Jackson BOB Chonkyfire (obviously won't happen as the last song but its an epic ending to my favorite Hip-Hop album ever)
EDIT: Gasoline Dreams and Ghettomusick are songs everyone likes that will prob be on their setlists this summer.

also the ordering of that list isn't really thought out other than the first 6 and the last4
fuck it i'm already drunk and having fun thinkin about this, if they were playing in a small location just for me I'd want them to go chronilogically (almost) because I love the evolution of their sound from album to album.

I'd be really happy with this setlist, but I'm one of those people that's really high on Gasoline Dreams, I think it would make the perfect opener. Mine would be something like this:
Gasoline Dreams Aquemini Rosa Parks Two Dopeboyz in a Cadillac Spottieottiedopalicious ATLiens Da Art part 1 Da Art part 2 ( I really fucking hope they play both) The Whole World So Fresh, So Clean Chonkyfire Ghettmusick Elevators Southernplaya Roses Wheelz of Steel Mrs Jackson Encore: The Way You Move Hey Ya! Bombs Over Baghdad
I think 20 songs in pretty realistic. 30 would be fucking amazing.

I'd probably cry a little inside if they don't do Jazze Bell. Which is a real possibility. Its a top 5 song of theirs for me. The way you have yours laid out and including Ghettomusick, Gasoline, and Roses makes a lot more sense and will probably be close to the real thing. For me, the more their first three albums dominate the setlist the better.
