Everything in the amphitheater is first come, first served. They had a festival called Identity at the same venue a few years ago, if people left the pit they'd let the same amount of people back in. Not sure if it'll be the same for this fest, though. It's set up like so:
There's seats around the pit like other amphitheaters as well.

I'm also curious how the pit is going to work out. I went to the Coastline Festival there back in the fall, and the pit was only available for VIP (which I did, well worth it considering the pit was fairly empty all day).
The seats were available for purchase, but were maybe 20% full. The lawn (cheapest ticket available, of course), seemed fairly crowded, but nowhere near as busy as I've seen it for other shows there. So I'm not surprised that the seats will be FCFS.
I'm going all three days, but depending on the schedule might just try to hang in the pit all day.

So one month from now I'll be on a mission for rail at Outkast's 4th show in ten years. I'll be with my girlfriend and brother but I'm hoping some of you guys will join me. Son of a Beek and who else?

Schedule has been released. On the plus side, there are very few conflicts. Literally. Many of the set times have not one other band playing at the same time. On the down side, that could make for some very crowded sets.
Jake Jortles, what time are you going to get in line next Friday?
Line for the entrance or line for GA pit? I guess I'll try to be outside the fest at like 2-230 and as soo as I get in I'm probably pissing then trying to get to that motherfucking rail.
Anyone have any ideo how this is selling? I'm going to try and do Friday if I can can get a dirt cheap day pass. They're still really high on stubhub so I'm wondering if they will go into desperation sell mode at all.

I'm probably going to check out 21 Pilots for a bit, then head over and try to get GA pit for Sleigh Bells and Outkast. I'm hoping they don't clear out the Pit after each set.
They will clear the pit after each set. If you want to get pit for Outkast for another headliner, get a wristband ASAP.
From the site's FAQ:
"The pit has a limited capacity and guests will be admitted on a first-come-first-serve basis. A wristband will be required to enter the pit for our Big Guava Stage Headliners each night. You can pick up a wristband from the Amphitheatre Box Office (located directly outside of entrance to Amphitheatre; separate from Box Office outside entrance of Festival) as soon as gates open while supplies last. The pit will be cleared between each set and re-opened 15 minutes prior to the next artist’s set time."

Thank you for posting this. Now I know to head straight there when the gates open each day. Hopefully not too many people know about this.
please forgive me for this somewhat sad post. But it is actually a celebratory post if you read it all the way through. I went to Bear Creek for the first time last November and on the drive home Sunday after the final set, I fell asleep behind the wheel while going east on I-10 (on the way to Gainesville.) Consequently, I ran the car off road and into a tree, knocking myself unconscious. This is, however, where the fun only began... My entire went up in flames seconds following the crash. I was fortunate enough to have two friends in another car see this happen and they pulled my lifeless body out of the burning vehicle. I have no recollection of even getting in the car that night much less the crash or even the month thereafter because I was in a coma. In the end I burnt 40% of my body (my entire right hand/arm/foot/leg, my left foot/calve, and the right side of my face/scalp), shattered my nose/collar bone, and lost all of the fingers of my right hand. I've made an amazing recovery given the relatively short amount of time since the crash. And I'll be spending this weekend with my girlfriend at Big Guava and I'm exhilarated to have Outkast at my first festival since that life-changing night and I hope to see y'all there!

Jeez o pete!!! Glad you had a happy ending a positive outlook on it all. Cheers to you my friend.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
