Don't even get me started on that. They are great. I saw them last year at P4K and again a few weeks later at a show here. One of the acts I was most excited about on the poster when it was announced. I f*cking love Priests though and they skipped Richmond on the tour. If KEN Mode is recording a new record, they will be back.
I'll start crossing my fingers for a Priests day show. That would take care of that conflict.

Spoon??? All metal is the only way to do Sat.
I saw Spoon at Shaky Knees, so I wanted to be more open to the other options at that timeslot if there was a standout act.
Anyone else curious about New Music Raleigh's performance of "Future Shock"? I think a few of you went to Big Ears so I'd expect as much.
I'm confused as to what it is. I'm assuming they are doing the Herbie Hancock album in full? I really hope they put those bios up soon. There are several times that I need them.
On an unrelated note, I noticed Thurston is playing a few shows after Hopscotch/Riot Fest (in Europe) and found this:
.. which will bring this time together with Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth), Deb Googe (My Bloody Valentine) and James Sedwards to lecture the now 55-year-old.
I want that shit.

With Pitchfork and Chicago over, I can focus more on Hopscotch. I saw a few crossovers: Ka, The Range, Mas Ysa. Both Ka and The Range, I'd be happy to see again. Mas Ysa felt like there was something lacking. Ka actually had one of my favorite sets of the weekend.
I came back to Power Trip playing here in Richmond. Holy. Fuck. If you have even a slight interest in seeing them, dooooo it. You won't be sorry you did.

Am I the only one planning on checking out Circuit des Yeux on Friday? It seems to be placed perfectly in the schedule. She will be a nice break to get lost in before the metal and hip-hop I have going on the rest of that night. Her latest album 'Overdue' was one of favorites from 2013.
