Love 'em. Psych done right. Speaking of psych, caught Enemy Waves tonight. Really good. Heavy (in both senses of the word) psych-rock featuring the drummer from Valient Thorr and half of Birds of Avalon.
Can't wait for the day party announcement. Last year was the first I really took advantage of them. Some of my favorite sets from last year (Pontiak, Steve Gunn) were at day parties.

Oh and ftr, Zomes is Asa Osbourne. Knowing my love for all things Lungfish, bet your ass I'll be attending that. I can't believe I missed they announced him.

Also, day parties are announced after the schedule, right? We could still get some big names in that. Last year was Thurston Moore and in 2011 Youth Lagoon and The War On Drugs (they did a split set with Megafaun) were both day party bands.

It was like a week or two before the festival. I'm crossing my fingers for another good block party. That Megafaun show was a ton of fun.
I need to stop digging till the schedule drops. I'm gonna have hella conflicts. This new Matt Kivel record is outstanding.

Three Lobed is announcing their day party August 13th so I'm assuming thats when all of the day parties will be announced.

puptent, here's what I could fine from the internet re: venue capacity. I stayed at the Days Inn Downtown last year with , so I don't really know about any of the other venues.
Personally, I've only stayed at one other hotel there. They closed up shop last year and Holiday Inn bought it. It's almost the same distance as the Days Inn. I can't speak for the HI but it has been getting good reviews
There is always The Sheraton. It's wicked pretty and you can't beat the convenience to the festival. You'll check in there to get your wristbands and as you walk out the doors in the evening, you'll walk right into City Plaza. I just can't justify spending $500 for a three day rental when I know I won't be seeing that much of the room.
I'll have to do some research for capacity but it looks like the venues are
