Cannot wait to get back to camp inforoo. I miss all of you! Get the funnels ready because AG will be there. Hopefully with food and more booze this time. And hopefully some new ez ups and chairs

I will start the thread soon, I already updated the facebook page but cannot decide whether to start a new one or not.
I remember last year they backed down from the "you must walk in" standard for TO. Any chance they'll say that again this year?
I remember they backed down before because it was short notice. This time, not so much.
Thoughts?
If I remember correctly, the AC rep some board members met with said that they had realized that was a bad policy change on their part. You would have to ask itrainmonkeys or Phyre Fest though since I had to skip the meeting.

At any rate, no one can claim to be, "caught off guard" if the TO standards are raised.

That or tired because I had stayed up too late the night before. Either one
So when you do tent only do they let you drive your car to the site to leave? Or do you have to haul your shit both ways. I started out at fests that was tent only all the way around. The first time I did camp by your car it was amazing. But I still have my wagon and shit from my TO days.

You have to haul your shiz both ways. If you wait late enough on Monday you *may* be able to swing your car by, but nothing to count on.

Well that's disappointing. I find that the haul TO your site isn't as bad as the haul BACK to your car.

its even worse when it's raining.
I'm seriously considering buying a VIP pass and camping in T.O after reading this and reminiscing....
Yes that crossed my mind too. Knowing the down pour I had to pack up in on Monday morning was bad enough. There's no way I'd have been able to do the walking back and forth from my car in that too. That and the people I was with were so unhelpful with the packing that I started being very bitchy. Luckily we took two cars so I didn't have to sit with them for 6 hours pissed off.

last year, we were in Camp inforoo VIP, very close to the shuttle pick up. so we had a pretty short walk. Even from T.O it's never been that bad with the walk way between VIP and what field. I just don't know what angle I want to hit it this year, and nobody is telling me what to dooooo!

I've never had to haul my things back to my vehicle after Roo. I usually leave on Monday, but even in 2010 when I left directly after the Sunday closer I was able to drive to tent only. I did encounter some trouble though. I tried to leave during the DMB set. I had to be at work the next day. As soon as I pulled out onto Shakedown the set ended and the 70,000 or so people leaving Centeroo all exited and I was stuck in a sea of people for almost an hour.

Did you have to haul your stuff back to your vehicle afterwards? You got to park close to TO. I think I'll try entering at that time in the future to avoid the BFE quarantine. Trying to get my gear to camp from there in as few trips as possible busted the tires on my utility cart.

I camped in BFE this year so I guess that's what I'm picturing the walk to TO would be (a nightmare). But if you've always gotten to pull your car up when you go to leave that would definitely sway me....

I've done TO the past 2 years and both times leaving on Monday. Both times I drove up to TO and packed my crap in no problem. In 2012 I actually ended up driving through the middle of Centeroo. My car was in BFE and when I was leaving I told one of the traffic flag people that my gear was in TO and I needed to get it. He flagged me off some side road and I didn't see another traffic director. I was lost and kind of hungover and wound up driving right through the middle of centeroo. For a moment I thought I'd get to drive through the arch, but I wound up exiting on a side path so many meters from it. If only my camera hand't died by that time.
The whole time you're dragging your shit to TO you regret not staying with your car. But after you get set up you quickly forget that feeling. It's totally worth it.
This is one of the most truest things ever spoken!

It wasn't that far, but I doubt I'd be so lucky in the future!
Last year my buddy Alex and I drove through Centeroo as well on Monday mornin'. Bunny did as well in 2012. By Sunday early evenin' it really isn't a problem leavin' from anywhere I've been camped in seven years. I saw plenty of cars drive up around the TO area the last two years.
Someone on here tried to drive from pod 1 to TO at the end of last year and they wouldn't let him. They made him leave the farm and all his stuff in TO.

That almost happened to me! They wouldn't let us drive back and so I literally just pretended I didn't see people waving me another direction and followed a truck right into centeroo had to drive around for a while. While I was freaking out because I thought we wouldn't be able to get out stuff, I was super excited as I literally drove right through centeroo and practically through That Tent. Eventually we got our stuff though.

Did the BFE quarantine happen last year? There was plenty of bitching about it in 2012, me included, but I didn't see it mentioned this year.
