When you look up the greek flag it is represented in several colors... it's very clearly the Greek flag, the Finnish doesn't have the stripes of the ambulance
so is this the only clue that hasn't been solved? i don't feel like reading all the pages, can someone fill me in on who the forerunners are to be the answer?
A Finnish flag on the trailer of a rescue vehicle plus the audio hint "What country is the band from?" points to Husky Rescue from Finland.
Any guesses that lead to American acts seem to ignore the audio clue.

And every single one of those color schemes has a square white cross on a square blue field. We're dealing with a wide blue cross skewed to the left on a white rectangular field-- just like the Finnish flag. If they wanted to represent Greece, they would have reversed the colors and used a combination of a square cross beside blue and white stripes for the rectangular trailer. If they wanted to represent Sweden, they would have used yellow on blue.

But the Finnish flag doesn't have any stripes other than the cross, and isn't the symbol on the front from Greek backgrounds?
Yes, the medical symbol often found on ambulances (staff of asclepius) has origins in Greek mythology. The symbol they used in the roo clue (the cadeceus) is commonly misused as the medical symbol. I'm choosing to believe they screwed up the symbol rather than thinking there's a hidden meaning.
Regardless of the flag they were hinting at, I think we can all agree they could have done a much better job.
I think it depends on what the end game is. If they wanted to softball them in, yes, this one could have been more blatant probably. If they wanted to get people talking about clues, they did a pretty great job. Also, it's sometimes hard to judge the difficulty of a riddle when you have the answer right in front of you. How many past clues have you seen the answer and went "Of course! It was so easy!"?

I went back and looked at the 2013 Haikus again. Jesus Christ, those were frustrating.
While Nightwish is reasonable answer to the clue (they're pretty much the biggest act in Finland, btw), Wikipedia is telling me they're taking a break until July at which point they'll start recording their next album until September.
In an interview with Metal Hammer in November 2012, Tuomas Holopainen stated that they already had a rehearsal place booked from July 2014 to September 2014, but before they began rehearsing the band members would be taking a break from Nightwish for several months.[75]
On 9 October 2013, Nightwish announced Dutch singer Floor Jansen as the permanent replacement for Olzon.[76] Troy Donockley has also been announced as a full-time member, making the band become a sextet for the first time.[77] According to the band's webpage, the band will enter the studio in 2014 to record their eighth full album.
They toured constantly and worldwide in 2012 and 2013, with their last show in August. I'm guessing they're sitting out 2014.

Has anyone mentioned that First Aid Kit has a song titled "Blue". This may not explain the lack of the yellow stripes in the possible Swedish flag, but it definitely could be their reasoning for it. I can't find any connections in lyrics or songs with the lack of yellow. The medical symbol is found most frequently on first aid kits which seems too obvious but I think they used the flag clue to throw people off...to give them multiple countries to choose from. Lastly, every part of the clue is significant. They wouldn't put the "siren" animation in there for no reason. There are few artists that better embody the Greek mythological "Sirens" than the girls from First Aid Kit. Despite the lack of yellow stripes, I still think it's them. They've never played Roo, they're a great spiritual representation of roo, and they may be in the States at that time. And if this clue isn't First Aid Kit, I would still be surprised if they're not there, but I think they are a big enough name and a rare enough roo type act that they could warrant a clue.
You're really going to argue that Husky RESCUE and Apocalyptica (featuring Mikko SIREN), both from a country with a flag that features a blue Nordic Cross on a white field, don't even remotely fit?
I think a lot of people are still having a hard time separating who they want to see or who they think is likely to be there from the most logical answer to the clue. I have a question for all the people who feel strongly that they know the answer: How do you feel about that act? More specifically, who can say they HATE the act they think the clue is pointing towards?
Who actually listens to Husky Rescue or Apocalyptica? The average festival goer isn't going to have a clue who either of those bands are, nor are they remotely relevant for Bonnaroo. First Aid Kit is expected to drop an album this summer and actually fits the bill, while also making the most sense for this clue.
If either of those bands ends up on the lineup, regardless of whether or not they're the answer to this clue, I'll print out this entire thread and eat it.
Not that I was worried, but I'm glad that I don't have to eat my words on this.

Haha. When I saw their name on the lineup, my first reaction was "Man. I overthink clues way too much."
