I thought Tosh last year would have been perfect on What for a late afternoon show.
I don't care if it's still in the tent, but getting a ticket should be made a lot easier and without the damn wait time.
I did think it was funny last year when the guy went to the top of the bleachers and "relieved" himself as many VIP folks walked in. They lost their minds.
The line for tosh was outrageous. I've been 3 times and have only seen one show in the Comedy Tent. I wish they would put up a screen or something that would at least tell you what tickets are being handed out, so you can at least know if it's worth it or not to wait in aquarter mile long line....
Tosh and even Saget, you essentially had to sacrifice an entire day to get in to see. People were pulling ply wood down and covering themselves in make shift huts.
Something needs to be done to change the comedy tent ticket system
Since I book the comedy tent here's who's gonna be there. Please don't share this on social media because I could get in a lot of trouble:
Howard Kremer Doug Stanhope Patton Oswalt Paul F. Tompkins Andy Daly Competitive Erotic Fanfiction Risk! doing one of their live shows The Eric Andre Show Hannibal Buress
THIS IS NOT TRUE!! I just wrote Doug Stanhope and he actually wrote back and said its not true...He's not gonna be there..Oh well..I can dream for Louis CK

Its really not that bad.. But something does need to change.. If I didn't have a group of 8 people that I swap out with it could've been bad, plus getting a shade spot is key, even if you have to lose your place in line

People were trying that for Saget, but it was 1 ticket per person by that time. I had heard for one of the Tosh shows you could get more tickets then one.
I still say they should let you pay for a ticket to a show. Even if it's 20 bucks.

QUIT SPREADING MISINFORMATION.
This is true.. It's not a big deal, but I wrote him at his email Dougstanhope@dougstanhope.com saying that I heard a rumor in a forum that he was gonna be a roo, and he wrote back a simple "Nope"..

Oh man, if PFT had his friends show up for Thrilling Adventure Hour that would be amazing.
Then again, you might have obnoxious crowd reactions like most of the comedy tent shows I saw last year. People were downright disrespectful during Comedy Bang Bang & Maria Bamford.

I'm not sure what you mean by "disrespectful" at those shows. I wasn't there.
The two shows I saw were very straight with what I expected. I had seen Saget before, and his show was almost exactly what I expected until Stamos came out.
Tosh was basically what you could see on a comedy special of him also.
The crowd became slightly involved with both, as you'd want in a live comedy show.
At least Saget didn't go into a 20 minute tangent about a guy who looked just like Phillip Seymore Hoffman like he did during the time I saw him at zanies.
And the irony is, I'm quoting a guy with the screen name Phillip Seymore Hoffman
In 2011 Bonnaroo had John Waters and Henry Rollins. Two performers who were more storytellers than comedians. I wish they would expand on that and get muMs ! He has an autobiographical one man show that I think would be great at Bonnaroo.
Most will remember him as Poet from the HBO sires OZ.
It would be a nice change / expansion to the comedy tent.

The disrespectful thing was heckling. I know it's common at comedy shows. But I got the vibe that a lot of the people sitting in my area just wanted to use the A/C not see comedy. If that was the case why not go to the cinema tent where you don't have a living breathing person performing in front of you.

Anyway, in other news RIP Phillip Seymour Hoffman

We are about 3-4 weeks away before the Comedy announcement and other stuff. I'm thinking Bill Burr is gonna be the main headliner. He has a solid tour going all the way till the end of April. No way Chappele does anything beyond his contract and I think Kevin Hart is too busy right now. Louis Ck is touring but not alot I think.. I dont see Cosby there either..
(1) Damon Albarn (2) Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (3) King Khan & His Shrines (4) Ty Segall (5) Ms Lauryn Hill (6) Darkside (7) Kanye (8) Janelle Monae (9) Goat (10) Meshuggah.
