So I was pretty satisfied with last night overall. Feels like they gave one to the fans to make up for Reigns 2013 win and his upcoming fight with Brock. Definitely pumped for mania now (a little over 2 months away). I just snagged Takeover tickets for that weekend too. Hopefully we'll get a big Ricochet match.

Yeah, I loved the men's Rumble match, I thought the opener was fun, and the women's Rumble had its moments... but Christ, I could go without seeing Lita or Kelly Kelly wrestle again.
Raw was great tonight. My girlfriend wrote a love note and gave it to jack Gallagher at chickies after the show. Tony nees and a few other 205 guys were there

I'm kind of shocked to be saying this about a Wrestlemania card, but I'm actually worried about the card being too stacked. Between Styles/Nakamura, Roman/Brock, the Rousey mixed tag, probably Cena/Taker, Asuka/Charoltte, probably Bliss/Nia, probably Bailey/Sasha, and probably Owens/Sami... something's going to have to give. I'm absolutely terrified of Styles and Nakamura not getting nearly enough time, as well as Asuka and Charlotte. You know the Rousey match will be overbooked to hell and back and take up at least 30 minutes including video packages and entrances. They're going to want to get a bit of time out of the other two main events, too, and if we have more stupid musical performances, how much time does that leave the matches I've listed as well as other big acts not yet booked?

Yeah it helps that these things are like 6 hours long now. It’s really turning into an awesome event. That int title match has me excited. Still no clear direction for Strowman. They should just let him dominate the battle royal.

That’s what’s going to happen I think. It’s a damn shame that the most over guy in the entire company is going to be stuck on the preshow though
Thing about it though is he has plenty of time left to flourish. Having AJ, Naka, Balor, Seth, Roman, Brock, Undertaker, Cena etc on the card, it’s just too stacked. I did read something about how the next Battle Royal winner would get a huge push so Braun would make plenty of sense there. He will inevitably be a main eventer. I’m good with the rumble for now as opposed to a singles match with Elias.

Were you just watching raw? Apparently we were both wrong and I couldn’t be happier. This is going to be epic

He’ll be in a tag match and spend 90% of it on the apron. That was the plan for mania and he said he won’t do it but yeah I’d bet on this being something not worth freaking out about

I think they are just throwing him a bone to maintain his contract before he splits to ROH/New Japan. This match isn't all that important to me. I'm just ready for the boring story to finally resolve because it's been going nowhere for a year now.
My biggest concern at the moment is that AJ Styles is legitimately hurt.
Yeah if aj is really hurt that bad then there goes your wrestlemania. That would have been easily the best match of the night and I doubt nak is even going to be with the company in a year from now

Just want to take the time to admire this card though:
Brock v Roman Naka v AJ Undertaker v Cena HHH/Steph v Kurt/Rhonda Charlotte v Asuka Miz v Seth v Finn Shane/DB v Zayne/Owens Bliss v Nia Orton v Roode v Mahal The Bar v Braun/Alias? Usos v New Day v Bludgeon Brothers Women's Battle Royal Andre's Rumble Cedrick Alexander v Mustafa Ali Bailey v Sasha
I mean good lord. Plus we still have potential matches left for Hardys, Wyatt, etc.
That six man ladder match has me most excited for Takeover (Adam Cole, EC3, Killian Dain, Lars Sullivan, Ricochet, Velveteen Dream).
Just got my time off approved today. THREE MORE WEEKS

Woah woah woah so is that official? Aj is out and dbry is in?
No, I think Nakamura has said in the past that one of the main reasons he signed to WWE was the chance to face Bryan. Then the timing didn't work out but now it can.

Unsure I am listening to Meltzer right now. He is saying:
Bryan is cleared to work as much as he wants or as much as WWE needs him to. Word is 60-80 matches a year
Bryan will not be returning to the indies and is expected to sign a new deal if he hasnt already.
The plan he last heard was Bryan and Shane vs Owens and Zayn. But that might change if AJ cannot compete. WWE already had another partner in mind for Shane, if Bryan was not cleared. They may just slide that individual in.

He absolutely has to tone down his in ring style, for certain. He came back for his last run and was going way too hard, I remember thinking that at the time. And he was just doing IC title stuff, not nearly important enough for him to risk his health the way he was. However, this is Bryan Danielson we're talking about, just go back and look at some of the crazy stiff/strong style matches he worked for just over 100 people at nothing ROH shows in 2005 (for example), he was going to go at 10 no matter what. And, he's likely wanting to go at 10 now, but he has to have everyone working with him to try and help him keep it toned down.
That said, I'm beyond excited for his return. Like most wrestling fans, I love the guy and consider him one of the all time best in ring workers.
