Last year, acts 6,7 and 8 all played on the Which. The first tent show was Animal Collective (#16) or maybe Empire of the Sun but I'm looking at the original line-up poster. After that it's pretty much fair game, with Alt-J and Father John Misty being the highest Thursday bands and they're around #49-50 depending on which line-up you look at.
Edit: Of the top 20: 8 were on What, 7 were on Which, 1 was comedy, and EotS, Animal Collective and superjams round it out with tent shows (all late night if you count the rap superjam).
Double edit: Counting this year's line-up, I think Chance the Rapper will be the highest billed Thursday act. In the 40s, new act, fits the profile.
Your 6-7-8 on the Which bears out for 2012 as well:
What
1. Radiohead 2. Red Hot Chili Peppers 3. Phish 4. Beach Boys 5. Bon Iver 11. Rodrigo y Gabriela 13. The Roots
Which 6. The Shins 7. Foster the People 8. Skrillex (LN) 10. Dispatch 12. Feist
Comedy 9. Aziz Ansari 19. Steven Wright
That 14. Alice Cooper (LN) 17. Black Star (LN) 18. Danzig
This 15. ?uestlove Superjam (LN)
Other 16. Kenny Rogers 20. The Word
I think you forgot the Avetts at #6. But, if you skip Aziz, Dispatch on the Which essentially means 7,8, 9 and 10 (musically) were there that year.
Makes a strong argument for Skrillex, Arctic Monkeys and even Phoenix on Which again this year.
I also noticed a mistake of mine. Bonnaroo jumped Nas into the top 20 shortly after the lineup dropped adding a tally to the What Stage number.

Ah, I was basing it off of the line-up on bonnaroo.com, where they weren't listed. Never been to Roo, so I'm just filling the hours between now and June with what I love best: analysis and baseless speculation.
To your second point, I could definitely see Phoenix and Skrillex doing a LN Which set, while Arctic Monkeys hold a pre-headliner Which spot.

Well shit, can't fault you when the websites wrong. You're going this year, I assume? Man, the first year is special. Enjoy!
As far as lineup spots go, I think your predictions are pretty spot on. Phoenix may get pre-headliner Which as well, but its really up in the air. They're more popular than when they closed out the Which on Sunday 2010, but they also didn't have a lot of competition that day if I remember right. If the tents were stacked, I don't think the crowd would be an issue, though I still think they're a possible What band. Right on the fence tbh.
Same with Avetts. They were What in 2012. Do they get demoted for essentially being at the same level of popularity? Those two could definitely swing either way.
Edit: Being mid-day what or which closer isn't really a demotion either way I guess. They're pretty similar prestige wise. So if Avetts closed Which pre-headliner or PHoenix ended up at 6 p.m. on What, maybe it would about equal out.
I think the Avetts are a little more popular than they were in 2012. I base this solely on the number of Facebook likes I get when I post about them.
Most mocks and speculation have put Phoenix and Arctic Monkeys as pre-HL on What or Which..anyone think they might be LN? It would make sense, given the glut of EDM this year and the relative lack of rock-ish LN-worthy bands. I could see them giving either of those bands a LN spot to spread the crowds out and appease the people who don't want to listen to wubs, bloops, or hip-hop.
Ok, my first attempt at this. Don't pay too much attention to the thursday schedule since I have no idea whats going on there but other than that I think this is something like what we could expect. Clash Finder Mock 1
Also I probably misspelled a name or two or forgot one of the lower acts
I dig it, although it makes for a boring Sunday for me (nothing I care for between Rudimental and Arctic Monkeys). and Polica opening a tent would be a bummer.
So the desire for cut copy into disclosure LN seems pretty universal on here - I really hope this happens.

Some of these mocks are making me sick. I really need to see full sets by The Flaming Lips, Frank Ocean, Danny Brown, Neutral Milk Hotel, Meshuggah, and Drive-By Truckers

Yeah I took a shot at editing the Clashfinder too. First time I've tried this so there's obviously going to be mistakes but this would be a pretty decent schedule as far as I'm concerned. There's even conflicts for me which keeps it realistic I think
I like your mock until Sunday. The Carolina Chocolate Drops/Sarah Jarosz conflict has popped up everywhere and makes me sad. Then I want to see every single pre-headliner across the board on Sunday. I'd probably end up at the BG Situation Superjam just because Arctic Monkeys on Which is going to be Mumford-level crowded but it'd hurt to miss any of those bands.
Do you guys know of any websites that rate bands based on their live performance? It would definitely help conflicts, as well as choosing between regular concerts. If not, I have quite the business model.

Ticketmaster allows people to rate a band's performance from 1 to 5 stars with an optional review. I think that's probably the closest thing to what you're looking for.
Arctic Monkeys won't be on Which. Id switch Avett Brothers and AM
AM on Which would be worse than Mumford in 11.
Theyre ninth on the line-up. Total fair game for which. And white stripes, mumford, of monsters & men to name a few prove that which stage just has monster crowds sometimes. Avetts are just as popular with the roo crowd. Those two plus the tents should split the crowd pretty well.

Personally, I think Phoenix on which would be the biggest clusterfuck this year, they're arguably more popular than Arctic Monkeys.
The best problem with this line-up is the top 10 names are all pretty huge. and the next 20 are also very strong. So somebody is going to be under-conflicted and have a crowd much too big for their stage. It's absolutely going to happen. The only question is who it will be.

Translation: the biggest problem here is that this lineup fucking rules.

While being 9th on the lineup means fair game for Which, there is a measuring stick for which we can see which shows are going to be most highly attended. AM's new record apparently catapulted them into the second most popular artist on the lineup this year. Over Kayne. Over the number 2-8 artists. And in a lineup that is as power packed as this, that is a HUGE statement. (that people are making, not me)
Arctic Monkeys on Which = massive clusterfuck.
Maybe it will happen. But I sure as hell hope it doesn't.
Amos Lee played the Which last time he was there, so do we really think he'll get bumped into a tent? I feel he will be back on the Which this year for sure...

Honestly, I don't know Amos Lee well enough to say. But there is some precedent for mid-day Which artists becoming tent closers.
Headliners Late Night What or Which Late Night Tents Pre-Headline Which Pre-Headline What Tent Closers Mid Day What Mid-Day Which Mid-Day Tent
In my eyes, this is the approximate level or prestige per stage and time of day. Obviously personal opinions vary, but I think closing a tent versus more fierce competition is more prestigious than playing mid-day which. I'd also put the pre-headline Which as being slightly more prestigious than What, simply because it's later and often at least half unconflicted.

Late Night Tents are more prestigious than Pre HL What? I think Bjork was in a more prime position than Weird Al last year. I think you're underestimating the badassness of the What Stage all throughout this list. I don't even think Passion Pit would have given up their slot last year for closing the Other Tent. Especially when you have something like Radiohead or Mccartney headlining, anything on that stage 1 or 2 shows prior is gold.
