I really really hope chvrches plays earlier in the day on Friday so I can see them and still be up front for Kanye. I know they'll be a casualty on my schedule though.
how long you think you'll have to camp out for Kanye?
I honestly don't know. I'm one of those people who would rather be safe than sorry and I'll wait longer than need be just to make sure. But there's people who would tell you that if you showed up right before it you could get close.

I haven't decided. I would like to be with people who are on here really. So I'll probably wait to see what they decide and the schedule for that day and plan accordingly. I waited 14 hours last year for front row for Paul Lol probably not doing that again.

I can't imagine waiting that long, even for my fav band. There would have to be some pretty good acts on what for me to stay there all day. I am either dancing or laying down. Whats the room situation like in pit? I have never done it, I like some room to move. Nothing worse then getting super close for your fav band and not able to dance a single bit.

I could hear passion pit and they were the main band I wanted to see other than Paul. But I had plenty of room, wasn't over crowded at all. I heard Radiohead was really crowded though so it might just depend.
I think Lionel may be early like The Beach Boys. If he's Sat. it may be Lionel/VW or Phoenix/Jack. Fri. would then be VW or Phoenix/Kanye. Sun. would be Avetts/Elton. Which late nights Skrillex, Flaming Lips and Disclosure in The xx spot.
And I think Danny Brown on the What is a bit of a stretch but I don't think his popularity is too far off where Wiz was in 2011. Then with bands like Temper Trap and Local Natives playing the main stage last year I don't think Danny Brown being main stage is too crazy.

I waited 8.5 hours for Paul, but he probably the biggest musician I'll ever see. The capacity for the pit varies, depends on how big the line is and how crazy the security is at the opening. As someone that's done the pit the past 4 years, if there's nothing you want to see at another stage then it's worth it. As simple as that.

^James Blake will likely either close a tent or play a LN set, one or the other. Mainstage doesn't make sense for him.
TBH Danny Brown doesn't make a ton of sense on What either. Like James Blake he's a rising star with a decent-size fanbase, but not exactly the kind of thing that can occupy that massive space. Yeah, they book rising rappers there before, but acts like Kendrick or Wiz already had huge hits by the time they did that gig. Wiz had a #1 single already, and he does party rap--which works much better on a space that size as something like Danny Brown or James Blake.
They also book legacy acts such as Snoop and Erykah Badu (for some hip hop examples) on the What stage, which is why Ice Cube might end up there. Don't count on it, but it makes way more sense than putting Danny Brown there.
Back to James Blake, though, I've seen him live and he would be completely wasted on a daytime What set. I'm not saying he needs a LN -- a tent closer would work just as well (think Explosions in the Sky a little ago--not exactly, but that's the idea). When a less-well-known act does manage to hold What down, they've usually got an accessible and/or fun sound, or they're well-known enough that it doesn't matter. This is why someone like the Head and the Heart or Kick Cave or Wiz Khalifa can hold that slot, but these acts can't. That's not a knock at all--different musicians work better in different spaces. And a Tent Closer really is a sidegrade, if not an upgrade from a daytime stage set.
First try. Let me know if anything is messed up i.e. wrong dates, duplicates, omissions, typos, etc.
Yes I know there are tough conflicts, you can't make a schedule without them.
Also sidenote I don't see how we're going to fit any artist additions at all. I had to get crafty just to fit the whole lineup in here and I feel like I might still be missing a band or two...
This is awesome I love that you filled out all the slots it gets real excited for the actual schedule release so I can start planning the order of shows I am going to see. I am not sure when I am going to find time to eat or explore with non-stop great shows.
9-4 to 9-6 SummerDance Festival 9-20- St Paul and the Broken Bones 9-30 Ott 10-21 Emancipator Ensemble 10-22 ATB 10-23 W&W 10-28 STS9 11-18 Dan Deacon 11-21 The Werks/ Twiddle 12-4 Darude 12-8 The Revivalist 12-30 & 12-31 Decadence NYE (Denver) 1-17 Mr. Carmack 1-28 Yo La Tengo 2-9 TAUK 2-27 Lotus and Michal Menert 2-29 Beach House 3-3 to 3-6 Okeechobee Festival 5-9 King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard 5-23 DIIV
It's a nifty way to do scheduling. The first tab has the lineup in the first column, and then columns for each day. When you find out a band is playing on a given day, you put a 1 in that band's row on that day's column. After the 4 days, there's a column that automatically reads to see if a band is scheduled, and puts a 1 if the band doesn't have any day scheduled yet (and a 0 otherwise). It updates automatically from a 1 to a 0 when you enter a 1 for a specific day.
Then flip to another tab, like Friday for example. The left column shows all the bands that are confirmed for Friday. They appear automatically based on the first tab's values. They're listed in order of ranking on the lineup (for ease of scheduling based on rankings), with blank spots for ranks that aren't confirmed for that day. In the second column, bands that don't yet have a day assigned are listed. The setup is just like the first column, and this one is also done automatically from the first tab. After that are columns for each stage, with time broken down into 15 minute intervals.
Of course, it's all up to date with the current OP from the bands by day thread. I'm also posting this comment there. And whoever is OP here, feel free to throw a quote of this post with link and instructions at the beginning.

Happy scheduling, everybody! BONNAROOOO!!!!
You've got yourself some nice Excel chops! This is very helpful; gracias.
I'd be more than content with the mock. No heartbreaking conflicts (and there are 30+ acts I want to see so that is quite a feat). Man James Blake LN would be awesome (I see him closing a tent though).
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
Take the 2014 lineup, and line them up (no pun intended) with last year's schedule, and the order in which they listed the 2013 acts, in the same order/timing. It starts to make less sense as I type it, but I might just try it anyways.

Here is what you would get :
Fri -
What : Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds(4:30 - 6pm) < Vampire Weekend ( 7 - 830pm) < Kayne ( 930 - 1130pm)

It makes enough sense, which you would expect. While doing a few goofy things, such as throwing the lineups 2 biggest R&B acts on at the same time, as you would also expect.
