Cat Stevens is touring late this year. Really hope AC snags him for a Lionel spot
I see him getting a tent spot like John Prine or Jeff Beck. Who knows? I might not be able to fit him into my Roo schedule, but I'd be happy to see him on the lineup.
Saw John Mellencamp at Farm Aid last weekend and LOVED his show, even if his first two songs sounded like they were being sung by Tom Waits. Warm up John. BTW, why can't we get Tom Waits? Also Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real played a great set and would be a good fit.
Is Paolo Nutini unreasonable to hope for at Roo next year? I'm just crossing my fingers that his newfound popularity in the US gets us an appearance next year

Is that the "new shoes" guy? Is he still happening? Maybe he's popular elsewhere I just didn't realize he was still doing things. Looks like I need to do some research bc I liked that one song he had in the U.S. back in like....2007, 2008?.
I don't know how feasible this would be, but what would people think about having Joe Rogan on the farm?
I've never before had such an urge to virtually yell at somebody for something they like... unless it's a joke... yeah, that's it, it has to be a joke. YOU ARE HILARIOUS

...why?
I have a friend who I've repeatedly and unsuccessfully tried to get to go to Bonnaroo with me. He also happens to have an obsession with Joe Rogan and keeps saying he would totally go if Joe was there, so I was just wondering. He's more into the druggie culture than me, and loves Joe Rogan's views on psychedelics and stuff like that.
Reading back over that I realize how sketchy that sounds (I..uhh..I have a friend who likes him), but I promise it's true.

So you want mouthbreathing, walking-Tapout-emblem Joe Rogan at Bonnaroo...so your friend will go?
Trampled By Turtles. Anyone for some "speedgrass"? Yah, I know it's a MN band and I'm biased, but they are a little different, right?
Saturday 'This' opener?
They closed the other in 2012 and it was pretty packed, even being up against the Avetts who I would think may have even thinned the crowd some. Id love to have them back but they definitely dont open a tent.
Although it would make me very happy, the problem I see is it has so much indie rock that I doubt we will get all those.
but wasnt 2014 vampire weekend/ phoenix lionel/ chromeo avett/ wiz?
See but Lionel and Wiz make that set of artists look a little more varied in genre compared to your original post. Which if it did happen, I'd be sold regardless of headliners.
Music Midtown: 2011 Bonnaroo: 2012 - 2016 Forecastle: 2013 Rock al Parque: 2014 420 Fest: 2014-2018 Shaky Knees: 2015 - 2019, 2021 Seen tons of local shows since 2004.

That AND the fact that only two of those artists from last year are indie rock groups (VW & Pheonix) and in your proposal I think all of them were indie/alternative rock except MMJ.

Hey played the main stage at Outside Lands this year - it was a reeeeeeeally good show. And he didn't even play New Shoes. I would be stoked to see him on Roo's lineup.

Yeah, he had a bit of a hiatus - but he came out with a new album earlier this year that got pretty good reviews.
I'm not a huge fan in general, but I get the sense he'd put on a good show. Did anyone see him at Bonnaroo 2007?

I assume you mean MMJ? And they seem to be the most likely group to be at Roo next year, I'm almost willing to bet on it.
or perhaps you meant all those groups, in which case, I STRONGLY agree, the only group I wouldn't be crazy about is Queens of the Stone Age because I already saw recently and I wasn't crazy about it.

i meant all of them. Other than Prince, Arcade Fire, Fleetwood Mac, Foo Fighters, Eric Clapton (top 5 must see acts for me in no particular order), Modest Mouse and QotSA are pretty high on my must see live before I die list. I'm hoping to cross one if not 2 of those names off my list in 2015.
