I'd say it's more likely he plays CMA fest in Nashville the same weekend. But I'd see him if he's there, he puts on a pretty good show. Mpre rock oriented then any other current country act.
Forgot about CMA Fest. Assuming he's only playing one festival that has to be it. Would both festivals be likely since I'd assume they are two very different crowds? Probably not...
I'd say he plays one or the other, but Bonnaroo would be good for him to expand his following. His last album is more rock than country....and he was on metallica's festival a few years ago. I think it would be smart for both him and Roo if he played Roo. He's played CMA most every year he's been around I think.
Seeing as how Hot Chip is playing Governor's Ball one week before Bonnaroo, if AC/Superfly didn't book them then it's a massive let down, particularly as they've somehow let Hot Chip go three album cycles without bringing them back.

My thoughts exactly. Hot Chip hasn't played Bonnaroo since 2007. They just have to be in the lineup this year. Hot Chip, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Florence + The Machine would pretty much make up for the underwhelming headliners for me.

I stupidly missed them when they played Ultra, I hope I've got a redemption shot for Roo.

I guess Future Islands is likely because tour dates. Mid June gap + no Tennessee
Would prefer Thursday night to day tent
Absolutely. Future Islands does not put on a relaxing day tent kind of performance. You want to be near front row for that shiz too, btw.
I feel like if future islands and parquet courts are on the lineup we'll have a Thursday fiasco with all these Thursday "headliner" acts, because both Demarco and Future islands to me will bring in a large crowd
I don't think Future Islands will be a Thursday act. They just played two sold out nights at Terminal 5 in NYC which is around 3,000 people each night. They could easily do a late night Friday or Saturday

nooo that could easily mess up my dreams of LN RTJ

I agree. I've seen them live twice already, so I'll probably end up skipping out on FI at Roo if there are conflicts (but absolutely wouldn't mind seeing them again if I can - they really are so great live), but I'm putting my money on Friday or Saturday LN for them.

that would be cool, I'm just anticipating so many conflicts, it's going to be awful
