Excited for this show. Wasn't expecting to get to see him as he doesn't tour the Southeast much. With any luck, his new album will be out before Roo and we can jam to plenty of the new material.

Really looking forward to this one. Did not expect him on the lineup at all.
Channel Orange hit me like a ton of bricks the second time I listened to it (first time didn't grab me because I am the worst). Downloading Ultra now at your behest, Horn.
I am so excited about this. I would have died if he were on the lineup last year. I think they were a year late with this but that feeling came back once I listened to "Pyramids" again. So awesome.

New record coming this summer too:
For a moment, Frank Ocean was threatening to leave his indelible debut album Channel Orange as his sole statement. Thankfully, it was a brief moment. In February of last year, he admitted to being "10, 11 songs" into his new project (which he would only commit to calling a "thing") to BBC's Zane Lowe. In October, he responded to a Tumblr ask about when to expect the project with a terse "when the summer comes around again." Title? Tracklist? Features? Please. Ocean throws elegant side-eye shade at the smallness of your needs. The only scrap of semi-concrete information for fans to hold onto? In the Zane Lowe interview, he mentioned Tame Impala, Danger Mouse, and King Krule as "people he'd like to work with" and said: "At the end of Channel Orange, there's 'Golden Girl' and it's this beach scene. And I kind of wanted to extend that feel into the next record altogether."
(1) Damon Albarn (2) Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (3) King Khan & His Shrines (4) Ty Segall (5) Ms Lauryn Hill (6) Darkside (7) Kanye (8) Janelle Monae (9) Goat (10) Meshuggah.

Really want to see Frank Ocean again. I saw him at Lolla '12 without knowing any of his music. One of my friends kept telling me that I had to see him, so I did. I was not disappointed. GREAT live show. Sounds really good.
I'm hoping the new album is out before 'Roo, that would be awesome.

That show was unbelievable. I'm thrilled to get to see him again.
THIS. This is what I'm hoping and praying for. Won't leave the main stage all day.
Pit line party?
I would like to wait in line for pit for Kanye but I couldn't see any of the shows waiting for Macca last year and I would actually like to watch VW and Frank if they played. I was on the left side, can you see the stage from the right pit line?
I've got to admit, his music doesn't really hit the mark for me for some reason. Not sure why, he's definitely a talented individual. Having said that, I really support what he stands for and the boundaries he's breaking. Glad to see him find success!

YOU'RE LISTENING TO IT WRONG!! JK but I had a friend tell me that when I told him I didn't like the Avett brothers. He said "You're just listening to it wrong". So a very unsober me was a smart ass and did a head stand while listening to the next song to see if that would be listening to them right. Still didn't like them.

This made me crack up in the middle of someones presentation in class. Didn't help my cause that I was picturing Kanye reacting that way. Thanks for the laugh Voltron.

Actually I feel similarly about the Avett Brothers like you said as well. I'm keeping both the Avetts and Frank Ocean on my schedule under the terms that when the schedule is officially released, if there is no must sees for me going on at the time, I will give them a shot. Sometimes seeing it live can make or break an artist for me. Worked for twenty one pilots last year! Love them now. Maybe Ocean will work out the same way!

Frankie Frank was fantastic at Jazz Fest last year. We got a great spot near the front of the stage on the side. Channel Orange is such an almost perfect album (I personally feel like it tapers off towards the end). His voice is just as good live as on the album.
I must have watched his SNL performance of "Pyramids" with John Mayer about 100 times, as well as the 1.5 minute clip of him singing part of "Fake Plastic Trees"

Yet another reason to be upset that they failed to book John Mayer once again

Kev-Bot, I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to you every day this week. Between your respect for Frank Ocean, John Mayer, and New Orleans po-boys, I think we are star-crossed lovers
