I'm in the same boat... Looks like I'll be missing Jack White, which I'm not hugely disappointed by but I wanted to catch at least some of his show. In 2012, we sat at the which stage for a couple hours before skrillex, even laid down and took a nap. Ended up with an AMAZING spot though. Looks like I'll be trying to repeat that this year. And, yeah the superjam in the other tent?? That's gonna be so hard to get a good spot for.

Lets talk about packed shows at the Other Tent.
Everytime I've been at the Other Tent its been for a show that was pretty easy to get under the tent for. I've never been there for an insanely packed show (skipped Tame Impala last year). Whats it like on the outskirts of the tent? How's the sound? Typically Skrillex is pretty loud. It would be a bummer not to be able to see whats going on, but if I could at least dance and hear well it'd still be cool.
I just can't show up early and camp for a show, at Bonnaroo I get so ADD, just can't sit still and wait for a set to start, especially when other awesome music is going on.

Because of the way the ground slants down at The Other Tent, if you are outside of the tent, aka past the hanging LED, you can't see ANYTHING from the stage, because the ground levels back off at that point making it impossible to see DOWN into the stage area.
Sound wise it's still pretty good, but if you're not under the tent, or off to the sides, don't expect to see anything at all.

The crowd for Robyn overflowed the Other, whatever year that was. I couldn't see her at all, but I could hear her pretty well.
Pretty sure I'll be skipping his solo set in favor of Die Antwoord.. Athough I can see myself getting bored of that and heading over to Which midset... Def catching this superjam. I'll be leaving Jack White a little early to ensure it.
That's what I'm thinking about doing. I've seen Die Antwoord before and they put on a great show. Maybe skrillex will go late and catching the end of his set is a possibility.

Phyre Fest you post made me think of a question. How does bonnaroo book these superjams. I would assume they put someone in charge, in this situation skrillex. But do they book the rest of the artists. Do they give them a budget and say get whoever you want with x money. By using people already on the farm they save money. If this is the case maybe bonnaroo had no idea that he was going to be able to book something this grand. If thats the case they might wind up making some slight changes in order to facilitate this.

Also, before they announced who his friends would be I didn't think him in this stage was crazy. But, then again maybe I was wrong to think that at the time.

AC (or maybe it was Skrillex?) discussed this in the AMA over the winter. Essentially they get Skrillex to sign on and tell him to make it happen. I imagine Bonnaroo helps some, and I very much doubt the lineup was entirely unknown when Bonnaroo made the schedule. I think it's more that people were just doubting Skrillex.

Right. I think it would be crazy to think that it was unknown when they officially released the schedule. I mean tuesday to wednesday. Which I guess proves my point wrong. They put this jam in this tent knowing full well, or at least partially well who was on it. Which was probably dumb.

You know... I was totally zen about all conflicts until this superjam lineup was revealed. Now I can't miss it. But I really don't want to miss jack white, and I really don't want to miss the flaming lips and ugghhhh. I think I'll leave Jack just as this is starting, and if shit is too packed to even deal with it I'll just head on over to the lips. Gonna have to be a gametime decision
Skrillex was a shock for me I kept on hearing bass nectar was going to be the big EDM act this year...honestly I'm glad it's skrillex bass nectar would have been a good show I just personally think skrillex would be an even better show...didn't see him in 2012 had some friends who did and said it was a great night and to top off this year he's doing a superjam! I'm really happy with this years line up aside from skrillex there's a lot more good EDM acts that will keep me busy as hell this year
I mean this in the nicest way possibe, your an idiot! BassNectar is ALWAYS an amazing and unique show every single time best experiences of my life.. so far!

You're* Possible* Bassnectar* time. Best*
the "you're" was supposed to go after the "possible" other than that, good form.

To be fair, it wasn't meant to be in order. At first I was just going to correct the "your", but then I saw all the other things wrong with it and felt compelled to keep going.

I'm gonna have to high tail it out of Disclosure to make it to Skrillex and hope I get a decent spot. I'm a much bigger fan of Disclosure - so I'm gonna be up front for that one. I'm "so-so" when it comes to Skrillex. BUT I've never been to a Skrillex show before, and I hear his shows are not to be missed.
I'm gonna try to go to both his show and his SuperJam. If I could only make it to one, due to scheduling conflicts with the SuperJam (but I'm still gonna try).. which one would ya'll go to? His show or his SuperJam?

The superjam. He's relevant enough and yours frequently for you to see his show elsewhere if need be. I saw him at Bonnaroo and nashville in 2012 and it was awesome. But if I had to pick one, go with the once in a lifetime set.

Right.. there's just not much of a conflict for me when it comes to his solo set. I like Die Antwoord, but for me personally, they're not a must see - although I'll probably pop over while they're playing for a few songs. It'll be an "in the moment" decision I'll have to make on the fly. I hate missing Jack White, and the Flaming Lips.. but his SuperJam sounds amazing.
Damn you Skrillex and your kickass special guests. I'd love to see Hart, Krieger, and Marley. Big gigantic is of course a solid act. But I wouldn't forgive myself for missing Jack White > Flaming Lips. Oh well, maybe when they discover time travel.
Something interesting i noticed was that Mickey Hart recorded music with the Master musicians of Jajouka, wouldn't surprise me to see him drop by.

The farm is a pretty magical place. Maybe you will find a way to time travel there. I certainly felt like I did some time traveling at one point during a FLips LN a few years back. ...
