The thing is, Skrillex has TONS of friends, in every genre of EDM and dance music. That's why I am most excited about this. It could actually turn out to be really really amazing. I would 100% expect Zedd to make an appearance, they're very close. Assuming they play the same day.

Skrillex was a shock for me I kept on hearing bass nectar was going to be the big EDM act this year...honestly I'm glad it's skrillex bass nectar would have been a good show I just personally think skrillex would be an even better show...didn't see him in 2012 had some friends who did and said it was a great night and to top off this year he's doing a superjam! I'm really happy with this years line up aside from skrillex there's a lot more good EDM acts that will keep me busy as hell this year
He was the biggest surprise of BLAM for me. Definitely didn't see them booking him again so soon after 2012. Do they give him another LN Which? Seems odd. I'm very excited for the superjam. He's worked with so many artists and dabbled in so many genres that it could go in so many directions. Although it's probably safe to assume that Kaskade and Zedd will at least stop by.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Personally I've always been amazed of how Roo, let alone any festival, can host electric jam sessions like this. It's difficult enough to have sync the STMPE timecoding of all the synthesizers and loop machines in a group like Glitch Mob... But to have several artists, each on their own systems, all syncing the delays/bpm without any problems. I might just show up to see how they do this

I agree I was wondering the same thing, I see it either being an epic show or a complete disaster

I'm certain they'll rock it w/o any problems, I've seen bands in a studio in Atlanta, recording over tracks that were streaming in through LA and New York. I just want to see to what extent they perform together.. will skrillex play the base music and others just jam along or something? Or will they take turns? Who knows.

Very true, Ide like to see this done I wonder if there are any good YouTube videos of well known dj's performing together it's kind of hard to imagine what it would be like but like you said if it's done good I can only imagine how nice it sounds
My jaw hit the floor when I saw him on the lineup. Definitely the biggest surprise of blam for me and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited for both of his sets.

He has been working heavily with rappers too. I think you will get a hefty amount of rappers and famous EDM guys. Especially if a bunch of them all have their schedules relatively the same and can fly either to or from Chicago for Spring Awakening together. This is going to be a lot cooler than people are making it out to be. Plus 13 stages? I hope they have one strictly dedicated to these kinds of music
Edit: I think they absolutely will have a few "themed" stages

Could not believe when SKRILLEX showed up on the screen and then the superjam comes up! man this is going to be very awesome and very interesting. I like the idea of him having evening main stage set and then playing a LN which stage, you would think they could put skrillex in a tent at all. The place would be so so so packed
If they do LN What, Skrillex will be there. If not, then Skrillex on LN Which and Electric Superjam in a tent, prob on a different night. That's the only setup that makes sense
As some others have previously stated, I plan on at least stopping by his Super Jam to check out what it sounds like and who the guests are. My interest is piqued even though I'm not an enormous fan.
Like pretty much everyone else on here, I was pretty surprised to see Skrilly back so soon, but I think the Superjam is going to be pretty cool. Skrillex's music is generally a little more abrasive than what I care for when I listen to EDM (which isn't awesome), but I still had a pretty good time at his set in '12. People also forget that EDM artists often have at least a basic knowledge of scales and can play a little keyboard and shit, so there are definitely jammable opportunities there - and I know I've played guitar licks and stuff over EDM beats before. I remember there was also a band that did a sweet cover of "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" using regular instruments that somehow replicated the dubstep parts of it. So with all the talent that's going to be at Roo this year, I think this electronic superjam is going to be pretty freaking awesome.
I am hoping for Cliff Martinez at the superjam. Possibly for a complete performance of the Spring Breakers soundtrack. This would make my weekend! Must get James Franco to rap Hangin' with them Dope Boys.
