I know it's not realistic but I think it'd be cool if they added Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment as a set now that Chance is confirmed to be there for the Superjam. Not sure if Donnie is busy or anything but I'm sure a decent amount of people would attend just because Chance is connected to him.
Pretty sure Donnie Trumpet is playing a sunrise set on Kalliope with Bassnectar

This would make me okay with all the schedule rearranging they've done to Friday night.
My friend Jeff from highschool plays guitar for him, I will have to reach out and check. Not sure if he is part of the social experiment, but I know he played with him at the farm last year...

Well, the Social Experiment is the group that tours with Chance, so I'm thinking he does. Either way, that's awesome for your buddy!

Yeah, he is stupid talented... He's in a band called the stepkids. Also does a lot studio work from what I understand. Used to play for Alecia keys too for a long time.

The Stepkids are good! I think they were at Roo two or three years ago.

Yeah the Stepkids RULE! Caught both their sets in 2013. Best surprise of that year.

He always refers to The Social Experiment as working with his freinds. 100% they will be a part of the Superjam or surprise set. I would bet on a surprise set forsure. Very jealous right now

Agreed; three of my most anticipated albums of the year. They're all just foreplay for Chance though, really.
I'm interested in seeing how his sound has developed since Acid Rap. Acid Rap had a very cohesive sound, and one that was distinct from 10 Day. He seems to be a lot more interested in the gospel-y side of things these days, so I'm expecting a lot of that on this record. Not quite sure if that's a good or bad thing though. I like his uplifting songs, but I like them best when they're interspersed with his grimy songs and party songs and introspective songs. I'm also hoping he does more of his own hooks than he has been lately - he's got a great ear for melody and the hooks for Angels/Blessings don't do it for me like the hooks on Paranoia/Cocoa Butter Kisses.
REALLY looking forward to some good features on this though. Hoping Kanye stays on the production side of things...

Tuned in for him on Colbert a few days ago and was disappointed to see the gospel influence really taking center stage.
Idk, I just really can't get into gospel. Kills the whole thing for me. That trend needs to fade away imo.
I'm torn on gospel/gospel influence because it usually sounds really beautiful, but I always roll my eyes during lyrics about God/religion and the like, it's an instant buzz-kill for me.
I'm guessing I'll like Chance 3 less than Acid Rap. That's just based on his recent singles and Surf. He seems to be in a pretty positive place right now but what really got me into Acid Rap were the more moody and introspective parts. We'll see though. It could surprise me. I'm just not getting my hopes up

I'm not gonna lie, as big of a Chance fan that I am, I'm not expecting to like it as much as Acid Rap either. It's just way too high of a bar. It's a top 10 fav album for me; I don't expect any one artist to make multiple albums that I like that much.
One of the producers did say this though, which has me hyped:

I kinda like it honestly. Grew up in the church and while I don't attend anymore, I still have a bit of a soft spot for authentic shows of faith. Definitely more on board for gospel rap than the sing-songy style club 'bangers'.
