Idk if I've just got too much love for Chance at this point or what but I thoroughly enjoy this album after multiple listens. Maybe I've forced the songs into my brain with repeated visits but they're all stuck in my head in a loop at this point (& not in an annoying way). The album is not what I was expecting (or wanting), per se, but honestly my reaction to it is much like I remember my response to Golden Hour being. It's largely a collection of love songs from an artist who usually tackles all kinds of other ideas, and the sound was a little different at times, but all in all it makes me happy when I listen to it.
Hot Shower is not so much terrible as much as it is completely out of place. I mean, it's not particularly good, but it's more silly than anything. You remove it, and things flow so much better. What's annoying is that it's so early on that I could see it potentially ruining the whole listen for some with how much it throws things off.
But yeah, a lot of strings of songs that I think work really well, and I will keep listening to it regularly despite the sub-par critical reception. I particularly enjoy the front 3; Handsome -> Big Fish; Sun Come Down -> Found A Good One -> Town On the Hill.
I will say that having Nicki basically close out the album was a weird choice, especially since the last track ended so abruptly.

yeah, saw that Toyota Center was offering this, something they never do, most of the time they just do a 'ONE TIME DEAL!' for cheap, but never cheaper than the lows on resale.
im tempted to just buy a $10 ticket 2nd hand because the % i'd get upgraded is probably really high.
Figured this thread should get a bump. Tumultuous couple of days for lil chano from 79. Between this video and all the drama around his ex-manager, it was nice to see that he has it in him to put out a not terrible song.
Kinda just sounds like Coloring Book but I liked CB more than most here so I'll take it. I do wish he would talk about more things than just himself, Chicago, and God
