I just noticed the same bidder won both of the other mirror pieces. What a greedy bast.
So one guy over bid to get three (including the way biggest) of the four salvaged pieces? Around $3 Grand total and only missing the one piece he didn't get by running up the price?
Whoever has that last piece is looking at a potential payday. Big time.

He didn't get the whole (mostly intact) mirror, but he won the other 2 fragments. Oddly enough it appears he didn't even bid on the one that I won.

I got the setlist to this show. Right after the Skrillex Superjam ended, I booked it over to That Tent for DARKSIDE. Boy I wish I was there the whole time. For the 30-40 mins i was there, I was in another world.
Also, how the fuck did you get that close when you were 30-40 minutes late? Don't answer that; we already know how.
Haha I wasn't close to the stage. At the end of the set, I went to the soundboard and kindly asked one of the people up there for the setlist, they kindly handed it to me.
Last night I not only got to see Panda Bear, but I won an auction for a piece of the Darkside mirror! Not only that, but I won it for $36
The same seller has two more pieces up for sale right now. I believe he MIGHT put one more up, but that would be it if he does. Good luck to anyone else going for one!
Sooooooo psyched to have a piece of musical history like this
Edit: I currently have the high bid on the larger piece right now. But my bid is at $35 and I am not going to increase it at all. If no one else bids on it, and I end up winning it, will definitely pass it on to someone else here. I put the bid in on that one before I won mine. I know monster expressed interest in the mirror earlier.

I know he said he got a bunch of messages from people with very entitled opinions, basically demanding to be given a piece of the mirror because of who they were. Supposedly even the band's management isn't too happy about him selling it.
All I know is I'm glad he did. If he didn't pull it out of the trash, a piece of music history would have been thrown away. Instead, some fans get to have a piece of that history.
Someone else here should totally snag those other pieces.

Didn't make much sense to me either. He said it was the band's management that contacted him, so no idea whether Nicolas or Dave have any idea about it. Not sure whether the management was upset about the fact he pulled it out, or that he was selling it.
Perhaps they wanted it to be the sort of thing that once it was gone, it's gone forever? A live in the moment, experience it now, then let it live on in memory?
Idk, I'm glad to have a piece of it on its way to me. What Darkside created was magical. Those were POWERFUL shows for me, and having a piece of one of a kind memorabilia from it is amazing.
