Me too! I must have listened to the Pitchfork set 20 times in the last 2 weeks. Thankfully I found them since Saturday late night is very light for me other than the Skrilly SJ which I'll be late for and thus very far away from.
I'm seriously not ready for That Tent Saturday LN. It's going to own my being, and I doubt it'll be a 4-5 hours that any of us will be able to come back from the same. I'm thinking shit is going to go down like when they opened the ark at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Your username is pretty ace.
It just came to me one day and I was like 'yep that's the one'.

so....I'm kinda late to the darkside party, but after listening to them a crapload this past month, I can't wait. i'll be there 100%. definitely a fantastic latenight selection.
Favorite set of the weekend and in my top 3 shows of the 5 Bonnaroos I've been to.
It was pretty high on my sets this year, maybe my top one. Still trying to process the weekend. Timing was perfect though. As I was offered a free beer before walking into Centeroo, got a slice of Spicy Pie, and Nice Cave wrapped up at the exact time the pizza landed in my hand, I was able to just walk right up to be in the 3rd row of Darkside. Would love to see some better footage of this show...and a taping of course.

I was really surprised at how thin this crowd was. But whatever, everyone else's loss was my gain. This set was haunting and awesome, and I loved the minimalism in their lighting and the use of the giant mirror. I stuck it out through most of the set but had to leave because my knee (full of a baseball size's worth of fluid) was really getting to me after the long day.
Did anybody else notice the annoying soundbleed from the Which? At one point though it matched tempo and key with what Darkside was playing, and it was kind of a surreal moment.
I moved up to the front after Nick Cave, but then decided on looking around for the perfect spot. I dropped back A few rows in the center and found a great view point on raised hump in the ground. I was holding a pole with purple lights, if any of you saw that.

I never quite got into these guys when I looked into them before Roo, but ending up at their set this weekends was a definite highlight. It was so much easier to tap into their energy live. Certainly my favorite late night set this year.

I noticed that. It seemed pretty clear to me that they noticed the sound bleed and incorporated it...which is just another reason they are amazing. After a few minutes I couldn't hear it anymore because it became part of their music.
Also, my ankle gave out halfway into the show. I had to lay out outside of the tent but it was actually still a great view.

I was standing like 10 feet behind you. Great spot for the light show.

I only made it for the last 25 mins or so and wished I had just been there the whole time. I really enjoyed it and was surprised with how explosive it was live. People were wondering what you do at a Darkside show and I saw a surprising amount of dancing at times.

This might've been the best show I've ever seen. No bull. I jumped up front during Nick Cave and when Darkside began I lost it completely. Danced like crazy when the bass thumped during Freak Go Home and when that huge sound when Metatron kicked in again at the end was just overwhelming. Stumbled out during Golden Arrow and just took in the whole tent from the mud in the back. Breathtaking!
loved the show. i do wish the crowd was more energetic though. i was maybe 10 rows back from the front and it seemed like my group was the only one dancing. maybe i was just quacked. who knows.

sorry to hear that. everyone around me was dancing their pants off.

I was so blown away and had so much fun dancing at Darkside that I decided to walk over to Kaskade to continue dancing. I was the dude wearing the Yoda knit hat and dancing awkwardly.
The lights/fog/mirror were so perfect. Can't wait to see them again at Lolla.
