I heard they're scaling down to a 4 piece. And doing more electronic and aggressive material from year zero and the fragile. Which sounds so good to me

Almost got tickets for this. Tampa show doesnt have pit tickets only seated close to the stage. Lame
I really wanted to get in the pit for Death Grips but dropping top dollar for an opening act doesnt make a lot of sense... Their show at Roo last year was insane. They are going to shock a lot of people who are showing up for Soundgarden/NIN.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Pretty pumped for Sunday night. I enjoy OPN but I doubt his stuff will play well in the cavernous confines of Molson Amphitheatre. Going by the setlists it should still be a great night of music.

That is one of the reasons he wouldn't be my first choice out of the replacement openers. It reminds me too much of when Tim Hecker played the Civic Center at Moogfest 2011(?). He sounded great, but it was just an odd fit for the venue and was really empty which took away from the overall quality of the show.

Obviously you guys haven't done your homework:
Sharing the stage with NIN means a great deal to me, and I’m honored to be replacing Death Grips on this tour. The last amphitheater tour I did was with Sigur Rós, in which audiences had no idea whether or not I was performing because I was behind a giant sheet. I’m happy to say that the setup is going to incredible on this run. Thus, I’m attempting to write 30 minutes of customized hard rock cyberdrone specifically for this tour. I am grateful to Trent Reznor and his production team for all their help.
New material designed for an amphitheater audience + visuals that make use of NIN's production team. Those should be some awesome opening sets.

I'm stuck with Cold Cave.
Well this is good news, thanks for digging this up! I am a fan of OPN and loved his Moogfest set, in I believe 2012, I just thought he was best suited to smaller venues. Either way, I'll find out on Sunday night.
Was at the Chicago stop last night. Soundgarden was pretty mediocre (it looked like Ben Sheppard was going to lay down and take a nap at any moment), NIN were fantastic as usual.
I'm having trouble getting past my hatred for Soundgarden. I will see how I'm feeling about it after work that day.
