Cokes was booted from a game for missing a normal vote and run off vote on a 2nd day. But if that's the way your gonna do it, I've wasted a full page of discussion.

FTR, I think run off vote is just as, if not more important. If he's not here, he shouldn't be in the game. I know I was almost booted forbidding a regular vote, then almost missing a run off. You switching the rules really throws me off here.
It' puts the town at a bigger disadvantage having him wasting space, and it also puts us at a disadvantage to waste a vote on him. All in all, it's disrupting the game by him not showing The fact that he logged in since the game started and didn't post should factor in here.
I've been wanting to post, but I really don't have much to add. Not sure what to think on roonectar. It seems it will take care of itself one way or the other. Hopefully he'll show up soon and we won't have to deal with the inactivity.
Ella is also in the runoff, yet is being surprisingly quiet. I wonder what she has to say about all this.

Sleepy is saying too has until the end of day 2. If this is the case, not only is he just wasting space in the game right now, but also in the run off. If he has no reaction to being in a run off, what's the point. I'd rather 3-4 LIVE players in the run off.
I'm sticking with my vote on roonectar. If he really has been on and is purposely avoiding the game then that hurts the overall game play regardless of his role. I know several want to keep him around day one as to avoid killing a possible townie, but we are delaying the inevitable if he doesn't show up in day 2. Two votes missed and he's gone and we could be looking at a very short game. As far as me being in the runoff, it is what it is. It's day 1, and I haven't seen anything that truly makes me any less or more suspicious than anyone else at this point. With the severe delay on getting this one started and people not really being on in the beginning, day 1 had become a bit muddled to begin with.

And sorry for the confusion O'Neil, you can just read my votes as switching from Roonectar to hakuna. Mike ninja'd me on putting surfbumdj in. The null was just reactionary, so I could clear my vote as soon as I noticed so it didn't mislead anyone.
I'm only taking my vote off roonectar because apparently he has another full game day to show. And I would still rather him play, having missed a full day, rather than just vote him out. I don't think I can be any more clear about that
Think about this people. Giving roonectar another game day, which could turn into 3/4 real days, is in the interest of the town.
I'm the last person to stick up for the guy here, and I'm saying that voting for him to be in the run off is a waste. Unless you're fishing Ella out for some reason hakuna?

I can help the town a lot more than roonecter can and there's no way I come out of a run off with surf and Ella. First round of run off one of them would be saved and the second round the mafia could easily stack to eliminate me. At least with roonecter I have a shot and if not atleast y'all can probably get something out of it. I honestly don't mind being in the runoff, I actually think its a good thing because it will be pretty telling.

As a townie, I have survived Day 1 once since the early 50's games. I understand I have been mafia alo and so letting me live long IS a mistake, but so is killing me day 1. Day 2 or 3 I will gladly go to the runoff and die because it will be telling, and honestly, I wouldn't let me live to the end if I was on the other side. Even if it wasn't a situation like we have with roonecter I would be fine with being in there and dying, but it's just too good for the mafia to hide behind. If they see me get voted off, and KNOW your gonna vote roonecter off day 2, they can do anything with the whack particularly a swerve as they are still in command, even with an inspector still alive.
I'm fine with roonecter, or taking someone under that radar as a shot in the dark, but not taking out someone the mafia clearly wants dead. When I'm mafia I leave roonecter around exactly because of stuff like this, happens ever game and is good for the mafia, better too cut the rope than let it come back and bite later on.
I'm probably digging my own grave right now, but I can just see exactly what is going on.
I'm in the camp that Roonectar isn't going to show up. I didn't check, but someone said that he has logged in since the game started but didn't check in. Also this is a giant distraction. All of our attention is put on roonectar instead of trying to read other people. If we keep roonectar around till day 2 it would just be more of a distraction, and I feel like by that point the town has a lot of ground to make up for. I'd rather take my chances and kill him off day 1 and get on with the game.

I'm in meetings so don't want to post too much until I get out but one thing that jumps out to me is jimmy had two different votes that later got moved and now he has none.
also is anyone friends with roonectar IRL or have another way to contact him? I think it's messing up the whole flow of the game for him to be AWOL

This is the worst option you could give the town. If we go to a run off here, and he still hadn't voted, and someone besides roonectar gets voted out, and he doesn't show, then we could be losing the 3 townies. On the other hand, if we dried to vote him straight out, and he does show up, then we've wasted the vote (potentially)
Even in the last game I played, bogart missed a runoff vote, then was told that if he missed ANY OTHER VOTE, he would be out of the game.
We need a standard rule, not a referee's opinion. I'm wasting far too much energy on this, and nobody else seems to car, or understand what's going on.
I think he should be booted after missing ANY TWO VOTES. This is the rule I've played under since my first game.
