As for the vote changes, do you happen to read the first day at all? Between the confusion of the rule enforcement, mike D beating me to the punch, and my eventual giving up out of pure frustration and voting for roonectar at the end, my vote changes were pretty justified. Ever play with Viking? He changes votes more than he changes his underwear. There's a method to the maddness. It gets people talking.
I agree with you on this. Your vote switching has nothing to do with my suspicion on you. Honestly boner I would have felt more comfortable voting for pfunk, but I didn't want to stack so early. Depending on how the votes land I may switch to my first choice. Also, I plan on quoting you where I felt you were out of character, but work is a little busy. I'll do it in the next few hours though.

I'm willing to change if he shows up before the runoff, if he doesn't show during the runoff, I hope some some other people have the sense to vote him out.

I don't really see the reasoning behind voting someone off just because they haven't posted. I am asking purely because I don't understand the reasoning, and maybe I should change my vote too? or not because you want a runoff?

I agree with boner. Two votes per the rules is what I would like to see happen. If there is no runoff, he survives to day 2. If there is a runoff and he hasn't voted and we have a runoff, and still doesn't vote he should be eliminated.
I disagree with changing the rules mid game, and eliminating him after day 1 if there is no runoff would be doing that. It levels the playing field as best as could be with an AWOL player.
I think a runoff with Roonectar is the best course of action personally. Give him time to show, and see what shakes out. Then, if he is still a no show, we take him out so we don't end up losing an extra townie (if he's a townie...)
My mind going weird makes me wonder if this is a mafia ploy and he's going to pop up before the runoff concludes... ? Just a thought with no real basis seeing as he's pulling a Houdini
I've been wanting to post, but I really don't have much to add. Not sure what to think on roonectar. It seems it will take care of itself one way or the other. Hopefully he'll show up soon and we won't have to deal with the inactivity.
Ella is also in the runoff, yet is being surprisingly quiet. I wonder what she has to say about all this.
I have re-read like 3 times through this whole thread - and this is the only thing in the whole thread that gives me the willies. Im surprised nobody else mentioned it.
It will take care of itself one way or another? We had to take care of it as townies, because if we didn't it would have been pretty devastating to lose 3 townies in Day 1. Mafia would be the only players that would benefit from it "taking care of itself" or Roonectar being eliminated by the ref.

Boner WOULD seem off to me if other people were saying it, but I gather from other peoples reaction to him posting so much and being so firm in his stance is that this is normal Boner play.

ok, I still don't know what to think at this point. I can assure anyone the "spat" b/t me and Boner is not some mafia strategy. I honestly don't like the way he's playing at all. I get that by pointing that out it may look like I'm just retaliating since there's been so much back and forth but it's the truth. too many posts with not a lot of helpful content IMO and it's just distracting. he could be mafia and just trying to keep everyone off balance while the other mafia members stay quiet. even if he is a townie, I don't like that other players are able to sit back... mafia always benefits from having one or two townies posting a lot and going off the rails (I know because I've done that more that once in a previous game) because then they can stay quiet and under the radar.

Very, very interesting whack. Surf bum voted o'neil and cast suspicion of pfunk. O'neil voted for surfbum. Mike D voted for pfunk and surfbum. Boner also voted for surf bum and was quick to suggest pfunk already.
I think the o'neil vote was more likely what got him whacked. If it was his pfunk suspicion, MikeD was probably just as good of a whack as Mike voted for him as well and is always in the day 1 whack conversation(when ever I am mafia anyways) as he is a strong player. The argument against that is Mike probably wouldn't tip his given name like that if he was inspector and surfbum brought it up after the kill but before the whack, thinking he very well could be the whack. I do think surfbum was targeted round 1 and probably was inspector. I think the pfunk suspicion was enough to send us down the wrong path. Either that or the mafia is totally playing me based on my suspicions, and me alone, and trying to send me down the wrong rabbit hole, really don't think that is the case and if it is the well done.

I think the runoff should be atleast 2 of Mike, O'neil, and Boner. I'm least suspicious of Boner and think he may just be caught in the mix but I'm mot sure. I think it's fine if we want to thrown pfunk in the mix too, just cause I think the votes would be pretty telling.

arguing and debating with people about what is in the best interest of the town, being as transparent as possible, giving clarification when others misunderstand or are confused, airing my opinion of the legitimacy of people's actions.
This is all I've done, if it's distracting to you, sorry, my post numbers would be much lower if I decided to ignore people when they quoted me (or if Apple wasn't so terrible with autocorrect).

There no pause for thought, I'll respond with what is on my mind, and not worry about anything I say being skewed as suspicious. If someone tried to make me into something I'm not, I'll hash that out with them. It creates debate, it gets people talking. I'm not really agreeing with those bringing up Boner being out of character. As he referenced, the last game where he and Bogart went around over inactivity is quite similar to this, though things got even more aggressive in the back and forth there. Also, I think with the edits and multiple posts this game going by post count to flush people out is not as effective as in previous games.
Right now we have, who, Bone, hakuna, and pfunk all at one vote? Am I missing anybody? I've been up for almost 22 hours and on some pretty hard core pain meds, so I'm a tad loopy. I'd like to see a tally before I vote just so I'm clear on where we are at.

One little odd bit that I am not sure how I feel about yet is that Boner was also going to put a second vote on Surf, but took it off as I had posted a couple minutes before he did. With no votes or anything from Roo, that's one less set of votes we have to look at down the road and makes round 1 a little more useless.
I did notice that Surf played for a recip vote late in round 1. It could be a tactic to stay low and not raise suspicion, that was part of the reason why I considered throwing a second vote on him. I see it as a long shot that he was inspector with Oniel's name and she was left without a vote and hadn't voted, but not impossible.
Seems obvious to me that the mafia wanted to raise some suspicion primarily on me, less so to Oniel. I am glad to see some discussion a few angles, but honestly find it a little odd that Oniel got a vote this round for Surf initiating that recip vote in found 1, but I didn't and I was the one to put a second vote on him.
That's my thought's for now. Going to re-read this later and make a vote then. Also, can we get a tally on this page please?

I agree with taking your vote off, leaving it at 2 votes. What I said was just thinking out loud about us both voting Surf, just seemed a little bizarre that we both picked him for a second vote. If my post would have been right after yours instead of before it, I likely would have changed too as I didn't see a reason to stack him to 3 either.
I am not really sure which way I want to go, but for now I am going to loosely base my vote off the names Surf had mentioned. Playing a numbers/odds game between O'niel and Pfunk, I would think Pfunk would more likely be mafia, partly due to my earlier post about the Surf/O'niel recip.
Considering Surf mentioned 3 names of folks who are alive, that leaves 6 players who could benefit from a "leave no trace" whack, which is very possible considering there were no real vote patterns in round 1. Would the mafia be more inclined to play a setup/clean whack due to the way round 1 turned out? I think that is the real debate we should consider.
Not saying that I know for sure that it was a diversion whack, but my gut is saying it was. Nothing really happened in the first round (unless roo nectar was mafia or inspector). It's possible O'neil and/or Pfunk were preperly called out by surf bum but I'm not buying it yet.

Man I overslept this morning and now when I come in here I'm the last to vote. If I'm counting correctly it looks like we have a current runoff of boner, hakunah and pfunk. I think that's probably a good starting point. So at this point I can either stack (which I don't want to, since I think a runoff would be helpful), vote Ella to create a 4-way runoff (which as I said before I've seen 3 vs. 4-person runoffs debated in previous games, still not sure which is better), vote for myself to create a 4-way, or vote for someone who doesn't have any votes (which would be pointless right now unless someone else switches).
I don't have any reason to be suspicious of Ella, although hakunah mentioned suspicions he had day one he never explained them.

If you look at my pay, I say up front thati don't necessarily see Boner as suspicious, just that he has been brought up by several. in terms of a runoff I think we have a decent top three.

What you're basically saying here, if you are a townie, is that you are just going to let someone else decide who to be suspicious of. Not knowing the motives of the person you are latching on to.
