At this point, it is useless for me to put a vote on anyone without a vote already,
sorry Ella, i don't mean to be rude, but this statement is complete bullshit. Voting closes tomorrow at 10. Plenty of time to work things out and make a case for anyone you actually think might be mafia.
What you're basically saying here, if you are a townie, is that you are just going to let someone else decide who to be suspicious of. Not knowing the motives of the person you are latching on to. And you choose to follow Tejas's lead? A guy failed to post his suspicions of me when he said he would( it's almost been 48 hours now), dispute being online since. Maybe he was hoping it would just go away. He even says he would be more comfortable voting for someone else.
Your recent posts really play as someone either not interested enough, or mafia trying to breeze through with as little to actually SAY as possible. To be fair to you, there are a few other players acting worse in this way than you here,
I'm sorry man, I am doing a bunch of projecting at the moment that I shouldn't be. Being on these meds for my back leave me either foggy and incoherent as hell or in a massive amount of pain and angry.
Right now Hakuna is at the top of my list. Being so quick to analyze the whack and talking about what he would normally do "as mafia" really doesn't translate in my mind as any different than when he called down o'neil for pulling the "if I was mafia, would I?". His willingness for transparency could been seen as townie, but I'm more inclined to see it as a repeat mafia trying hard to look innocent. At least he hasn't pulled the odds card yet. Another reason I find him suspicious is because I am simply the "last person he would vote for" when he was talking to pfunk. I am a usually easily swayed townie, and so anybody trying to placate me raises red flags in my mind.
Pfunk looks scummy for the simple fact that he is taking a quiet approach and trying hard to coast. I of course should not be bringing that up, since I haven't been stellar this game either, but c'mon..I normally am non confrontational and am really trying to remedy that this game. Granted, I'm more inclined to believe that he would be coached better as mafia this game with all the vet players, so I'm not as sold on him.
The bottom of my suspicions lies with Mike D or Jimmy. After the clusterfuck that was Day 1, there is no way looking at post counts would be worth looking at, so I don't know why Jimmy felt inclined to post it. Mike D also has been relatively quiet, but I don't see that being a tell either way. My only stance on him at the moment is that I can't understand why mafia didn't whack him night 1. He's one of those players that makes me nervous because he can slip through well into day 3 as mafia--we want him around as town to help us out, but at the same time we usually get rid of him for fear that he's not a fellow townie.
I'm null on Tejas at the moment, and really believe o'neil and you are town.
Again, my apologies for beating around the bush and acting disinterested in the game. That really isn't the case.
And thank you for the in-depth explaination ellabelle. It's not so much that I suspect you to be mafia, but I wasn't going to let you put me into a runoff without a proper explanation that I felt justified your action. Not an issue with being in the runoff, but rather "How" I ended up there.
Ok, so looking back at your post and looking at the game with Bogart, It's not so much out of character. I'll admit that I might be wrong on my suspicions for Boner. I'll null my vote and read over the game and change it.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
Basically, I'm just sticking to my guns. I want to see either MikeD or o'neil in the runoff. Even if I'm against them and end up dying. I saw Ella's post switching at the bottom of page 6 and didn't realize 7 had started so missed boner switching too.

Just to touch this, the way I look at my talking about what the mafia do is in terms of general strategy, for example finding and whacking the inspector, trying to take the stronger players. Basically generalities that 99.9% of the time never deviate. You will never, ever see me questioning gameplay as a mafia or non mafia move. I can understand someone not seeing that way and the two being the same, but I don't.
As for why my suspicions were so low, building off what Boner said, disinterest, for lack of a better word, can be a pretty good tell. If it can be acted well its a good mafia play but I don't think that's what is going on. There are a lot of votes just to vote and not on any real suspicion out there, when pfunk voted for you seemingly for that reason it raised a red flag.
working on a long post, will have to finish on my computer though so I can quote. I think it's interesting that boner switched votes without explanation (as did Hakuna initially until questioned) and then didn't respond to my post almost immediately afterward asking why.
Man I overslept this morning and now when I come in here I'm the last to vote. If I'm counting correctly it looks like we have a current runoff of boner, hakunah and pfunk. I think that's probably a good starting point. So at this point I can either stack (which I don't want to, since I think a runoff would be helpful), vote Ella to create a 4-way runoff (which as I said before I've seen 3 vs. 4-person runoffs debated in previous games, still not sure which is better), vote for myself to create a 4-way, or vote for someone who doesn't have any votes (which would be pointless right now unless someone else switches).
I don't have any reason to be suspicious of Ella, although hakunah mentioned suspicions he had day one he never explained them.
So, purely because he's been so quiet (I know he said he's been busy but mafia have used the busy/out of town excuse to stay quiet in prior games): o'neil > LD
everything about this post screams "I'm playing as cautiously as possible".
First, justifying why you're the last to vote. This didn't need to be brought up unless you were worried it would look suspicious. If you're a townie with nothing to hide, and someone calls you out for being the last to vote (when there is over 24 hours left in the round). Then you have ample gime to explain how it happened that you posted Friday then finally voted Sunday morning. Do people forget you can switch your vote or something?
Second, you talk about not wanting to stack it a 4 person runoff. It's day 2, a 4 person runoff leaves 1 person with the swing vote. And then of course. People can change up their votes. When I see posts about "not wanting to stack" or "not sure which run off is better". It really reads like you're trying to stay even keel too much. For me, when I'm voting and thinking about who I want in a run off, I'm also very aware of who the swing votes will be, so each situation is different.
Last, you vote for someone with no votes, clearly trying not to ruffle any feathers, playing it safe, and hoping we just breeze into the runoff as is.
Hakuna also mentioned your use of "if I was mafia, why would I". This is a terrible way to raise suspicion on ones self. There's always a way to twist the argument against you, no matter what it is.
I just don't like the way you're playing o'neil...

I was away from my phone, otherwise I would have posted right away, I get slow days at work, but when I actually have to do stuff, I'm not allowed to have my phone one so it's left in the truck.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
He's been real quiet, and does sit well in my theory of O'Neil being mafia (they like to put a vote on eachother for distancing and incase they have to pull them from danger)
This also frees up hakuna, who I've felt somewhat comfortable with being townie, due to his quick responses when we had our disagreements last round (tho he has been buddying up to me a bit too much lately)
I'm still most suspicious of Hakuna. Definitely think it's useful to have one or both of Pfunk or O'neil in a runoff because of the whack. And I'm not opposed to LD being in the runoff since it seems like he's just trying to get by under the radar. The only other person raising red flags for me is Ella because she was very quiet in round 1 when she was facing a runoff and doesn't really seem to make much sense this round. However, we can't have everyone in the runoff so any mix of the first 4 I mentioned seems best to me right now.

I'd say there is enough real suspicion of Ella to consider putting a vote on her. At least as much as LD throwing his vote your way since you're the new Mike D. At any rate, I mentioned at the time of my vote how I was suspicious of Ella. The reason I put a vote there in the first place was because I had felt like Boner would make the runoff just based off the shit on day 1. Half the town was still to vote at that point. If he hadn't made the runoff, I was ready to swing my vote over to him.
At this point, I feel differently about Boner as a townie, based off his fierce defense of his actions. I don't feel any different about Ella. So I'm happy to keep my vote on my #2. Especially after this.

1. I look scummy, yet you admit having the same lack of interaction with the game as I do. So I guess we're scummy together? 2. I don't see what is non-confrontational about sticking to my guns. If anything, it has made me look suspicious. So the confrontation is certainly on for me.
I'm sticking with it. Hakuna or LD would be my other choices. I feel like Boner is definitely a townie. If you've tricked me somehow I swear I'll get you...
I also don't see the harm in having 2 runoffs this round considering round 1 was kind of a wash. Maybe a 4 person runoff and then a 2 or 3 person runoff?

Ok, so lemme get this straight. I was quiet and nonchalant (correct?) about my potential day 1 runoff, so that is what got your suspicion going initially? And I've perpetuated that suspicion by pointing out that you are quiet? Seems a little pot and kettle, no?
If you look toward the end of that quote, past the bold that you so carefully highlighted you will notice where I mulled over the possibility that you could have been town. However, much like you have had a change of heart over Boner, I have to say that you are starting to fall more in line with my original statement.
Also, why were you so ready to just throw Bone in the runoff. You just "felt" he would make it and then would be ready to put him in there. Then all of a sudden decided he was town. Right after the votes disappeared from him...Now, that to me kinda sticks out.

I was ready to throw Boner into the runoff because he was most suspicious to me after the first day. I felt like he was the guy. After hearing him respond to the criticisms, and after starting to have doubts since I couldn't connect him with the whack, he changed my mind.
And the pot and kettle thing is what I was pointing out there. You called me scummy, then admitted to the same behavior you were calling me out for. So yeah, pot and kettle or scummy folks or whatever for sure. The way I know I'm innocent is that my pm said townie, but I don't know that about you.
I don't want to edit, but in addition to what I said earlier, the votes who disappeared weren't mine. Perhaps I'm not the only one who is swayed by Boner's defense?
I also don't see the harm in having 2 runoffs this round considering round 1 was kind of a wash. Maybe a 4 person runoff and then a 2 or 3 person runoff?
I support this idea. Widening the field at this point may help out. I'm normally not a fan of 4 person runoffs, but like you said, with round one being the way it was, this seems to be the way to go.
