yea ill hit up the xbox tent and the comedy tent if it rains
I think attending awesome live music in the rain would be an exponentially better value for your money than staying dry and playing XBOX. And the Comedy tent fills up quickly even when it's not raining.

I totally agree with Jazmo. The crowd was getting crazy when Petty and the Heart-breakers rocked in the rain last year. It was obvious that woman really love dancing in the rain! Go out and play!

If it rains the last place I am going to run to is a tent full of electronics and power cords.

Should be able to stay pretty dry in any of the music tents (This, That, Other).
Was going to say this. It's another reason to love tent shows. In 2009 the rain was coming down hard on Thursday but I was dry and having a great time underneath the tent. Rain stopped after the shows I was at finished up.
Here's a 10-day from a Nashville station...I'll take a 20% chance all day...
What I don't understand is when they show 20% chance of precipitation (Which for the people who are mathematically challenged that's means it's unlikely to rain) but the picture is it raining. I'm just trying to look at pictures and see I'm not trying to look all that other shit!

I remember attempting to leave a tent when the crowd just STOPPED moving out. A storm had just started and nobody wanted to leave, haha. Water was just pouring off the sides of the tent, so exiting got you completely drenched.

That's why I don't watch this channel's news...I trust channel 4 a little more, but channel 5 is the only one who does a 10-day forecast...
well this is pretty unusually cold for this time of the year, were usually into the 70-80 range, but this has been a cooler year pretty much everywhere is seems. I didn't grow up here, and where I'm from, the weather and temps are the same as north eastern states. I've always had a good resistance to heat, but yeah, some prep is required. At work, I'm often decked out is industrial rain gear, and when temperatures hit the seasonal norms here, it's 10000 degrees in that shit. I also spend a lot of time on the elliptical in the months leading up to roo, so to help prep, I'll wear a hoody and sweatpants while I'm doing my thing. In my mind, all of this helps me take on the heat and humidity, but in reality, I doubt it actually does anything to help. But, mind over matter and all that jazz.
Makes sense. I was picturing a flock of Candians decked out like the Night's Watch having a rude awakening when they set foot in Manchester.
Haha, this will be me.
I'm from a small town pretty close to Niagara Falls, in Ontario.. and it's been about 15C here lately which I think is about 60F ...I don't think I've ever felt anything over 100F in my life.. so this shall be interesting.
Our average summers get to be about 80-90... but I tend to be cold all the time, and my average summer outfit is jeans and a tshirt. So... I'm hoping that as soon as I lose the jeans and put on shorts and a tank I'll be able to handle 100+ weather.

Good memories...Zac Brown Band started playing Devil Went Down to Georgia and the rain started pouring. It just made their tent show that much better.

A girl in front of my wife and I at Radiohead peed directly on herself to avoid getting out of the crowd. Scarred my wife to this day. I was blissfully unaware at the time.
Edit: I should mention we were right between the pit and the sound board on the right side. So... don't stand there. There has been pee in that spot.
Due to humans, animals, and insects...over a long enough timeline...there has been pee everywhere, man. Even right under you this very moment.

Skrillex in the rain was unforgettable. There's a point though that the rain could become a burden if it went hard and long enough.
Was anyone else cold during Tom Petty's set in the rain? I might need a better rain jacket (rather than just a cheap plastic poncho). Is it worth it to buy and bring rain boots?
I've been preparin' fer the Tennessee heat by chillin' in my car between shifts at work. And just like on The Farm I'm covered in Gold Bond.
I like your style. I have a serious long-term relationship with Gold Bond. Even off the farm I use it daily. And I never had to adjust my boys in mixed company or anything. It's just cool and comfortable all day long. #Bonded4life

Anyone in or near Manchester have insight on this question: How windy/breezy has it been there lately? I live outside of Knoxville and despite the heat this past week, it's been windy, like last year at Roo. It's made it bearable to be outside.
That's why it was awesome last year, a constant breeze that cooled things off and made me feel like I was near the ocean. Just curious abc thanks in advance for any replies.

I'm an hour north of there and other than the storm last night, there has been NO wind here

I third this. Think of it as an opportunity. Most places may even just cancel...

Yeah, I was really glad to have a lightweight raincoat. I'm of the stay-at-the-shows-in-the-rain mindset, but it's definitely way more enjoyable for me when I have dryish feet and other parts. And I've been glad to have the raincoat and boots I bought for Bonnaroo in my life in general, especially for traveling.
haha. i think they're worse off with Verizon, AT&T, etc ...
Rogers is just a bullshit telecom provider with god awful customer service. You know, just the standard monopolistic kind of enterprise that the government protects in the name of competition.
Wow, that escalated quickly ...
Tell them and Bon Jovi that they can't steal my beloved Bills.
it would be a god damn travesty for the Bills to end up in Toronto. I'm fully with you on that.
