I love that half of the pages in this thread aren't even discussing Music Midtown. Goes to show how everyone feels about the lineup.
If I had seen that poster (which... come on... it 100% says "Kanye West") and decided to get tickets to it, I would be seriously pissed at the organizers for tricking people into making the purchase.
Not only is it deceitful & dishonest, but if I were the artist, I would be livid that they were using my name to sell tickets.

This is the most all around accurate post in this thread. But I'm not ready to talk about the lineup yet.
That's what I expected. No answer. I already said that I should have looked at the tour dates. Mind telling me something I don't know?
Um, do you honestly think Kanye is going to be performing in Australia and Atlanta on the same day?
That doesn't matter. The blurry thing on the website kinda looks like "Kanye West." Disregard travel logistics, venue size, ticket price, previous lineups, and anything else that makes sense. It's all about that blurry box.

It's cute how the inforoo regulars always swarm in to gang up on people. Iamthehorn comes in with his cheerleading ways and then doesn't even have the confidence to leave his post up.
Phice Cube is saying "Eek". The fuck is that? I had you pegged as a man with the avi and name, but you have to be a female if you are saying "Eek."

BACK ON THE TOPIC OF MUSIC MIDTOWN,
How come they keep getting better every year and then drop this line-up? Coldplay-CtE-Black Keys was a great first year back but it lacked variety, PJ-Foo Fighters-Florence was better since it added a day and it developed all around a lot better, RHCP-Journey-Arctic Monkeys-Weezer-Kendrick was by far their best since the hiatus (2005 will always be the best, then 2013).
I think the reason I'm so disappointed is because they had finally developed into a respectable festival with great potential and we all expected something 2013-level or better. 2015 MM better have three days and fucking bring it. Then and only then will I forgive Peter. And by bring it I mean full-on R.E.M. re-union.
2005 was nowhere near the best year of the festival.
(I went in 2005... it was great... a really solid White Stripes show. I also skipped Devo to see Lou Reed, who was playing on a side stage to about 100 people)
Take a look at the lineups before MM's hiatus.
Here are the bigger names from the 1999 fest:
OutKast, Wilco, Iggy Pop, Willie Nelson, The Black Crowes, Hole, Salt-N-Pepa, Rick Springfield, Jessica Simpson, Peter Frampton, War, Dr. John, Ben Harper And The Innocent Criminals, George Thorogood and The Destroyers, Widespread Panic, Destiny's Child, Branford Marsalis, Count Basie Orchestra, Isaac Hayes
(Of course, this was only 1/4 of the lineup)
Music Midtown used to cater to everyone... not just alt music or pop fans.

I think 2005 and 1999 will always be the two answers you get though. I say 2005 though because it was Lou Reed and The White Stripes last show in ATL. Also it had a good eye at getting Bloc Party and Keane who had just released their first albums at the time. Devo was also a good grab IMO. Also, my one and only love: Tom Petty. Foo's was a great pick up with the others too.
OutKast, Goo Goo Dolls, and Frampton were all good for '99 though.
This is all line up wise by the way. 1999 could've been better fun but I would have no idea since I was 1 and in England.
Petty looks too obvious to be traveling through Atlanta on that Friday and fits the exact description of the Friday headliner. Everyone's in denial. Petty is the quacking man and I'm 20 soooo...
"Youth doesn't give a fuck about petty" Well I'm 15 and I love Tom.
