Can't believe they have Jack White conflicting with all those LN sets. Purposeless move IMO
He overlaps with the Superjam for 30 minutes and nothing else...
Not if nick cave frank and lips get on at 12:30. Jack white gets off then, which presumably could even be later. Walking to other stages alone meaning missing at least a few minutes of a set

The late night tents always seem to start a little late, presumably to let the crowd get over to centeroo from the what stage. For example, the jim james superjam was scheduled from 12-2 last year and the actual set time was from like 12:20ish-2:30. Also, in 2013 I was in the Radiohead pit and stayed for the entire show and then got to the Black Star tent before the show started. I didn't run or even walk very fast either. I don't remember but I'm pretty sure that was the same situation you are talking about here, where the headliner is scheduled to end at the same time as a late night tent is supposed to begin. I wouldn't worry, these situations always seem to work out.

Thanks for the heads up. I remember being in the pit for Paul last year and it may have been because I was in awe but by the time I got to the rap superjam and passed the xx stage, they were already on
Its finally clicked with me how much they fucked up this schedule even before they changed it around. Saturday is soooooooo fucking stacked. Sunday and Thursday are garbage. Friday is solid from Janelle Monae on.
I'm probably missing Cut Copy, Lauryn Hill, Bobby Womack, Flaming Lips, Skrilljam, Nick Cave, Lionel Richie...
I mean they have Flips, Frank, Nick Cave, and SJ at once. Aren't they all before the third line? Is that false advertising or something?
Transfer some shit to Sunday.
I am pretty annoyed that 10, 11, 12 and 17 on the lineup are conflicting. All potentially great shows. Nobody gets to see more than 1 in full. Reminds me when coachella put phoenix, sigur ros, new order, booka shade and knife party at the same time last year

And who did you go see? I hope New Order or Sigur Ros.

I sadly wasnt there. Lol. Id like to hope i would pick sigur ros. Ive heard mixed things about new order live. But my state of mind mightve picked knife party for me. In the moment decision

Who's bringing the funk this year? Off the top of my head the only band I could think of was GOAT, they have a few funky tracks. Any other recommendations for the funk this year?

The Derek trucks SJ w/Chaka Khan will be funktastic!

Big Sam's Funky Nation, Derek Trucks Superjam. And electrofunk it out with Chromeo.
Also probably the high and mighty brass band. Not too familiar with them but I think they're pretty funky.
Big G might get a little funky in the skrillex superjam too
Music Midtown: 2011 Bonnaroo: 2012 - 2016 Forecastle: 2013 Rock al Parque: 2014 420 Fest: 2014-2018 Shaky Knees: 2015 - 2019, 2021 Seen tons of local shows since 2004.

bump this thread. 17 days from Roo!
NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS are playing at 12:30 am this year with the flaming lips, frank ocean, and the epic skrillex superjam all going on at the same time, we're in for quite the show my friends.

Janelle Monae is pretty damn funky! Warpaint is pretty groovy. White Denim are a funkier version of Black Keys. Cherub and Break Science will bring the funk! Big Gigantic is playing with Skrillex at the Skrillex and friends Superjam, and that duo is very funky! Chromeo is funky! Big Sam's Funky Nation is funky!

My new plan has me skipping Die Antwoord, even though I'm really digging them. I'm choosing to go to Mystery Superjam after Disclosure in an attempt to get closer for Chance. Is my plan crazy? Or is this a good decision! Thanks!

If you're invested in Chance, this is a wise decision. Acid Rap has grown on me a lot but my group loves Die Antwoord. My night will probably go Disclosure>Die Antwoord>2nd half of Chance, but I imagine his tent will be packed. If it's too crowded, I plan on wandering to Skrillex, Meshuggah or wherever else I feel like. Chance is growing fast, but I think he'll be around a while with a lot more chances to see him. I'm less sure of Die Antwoord.
