The only conflict I'm still torn about is VW+Phoenix vs a good spot for NMH. I can see NMH when they come to Philly in August, but Philly is not Roo, and I'd rather not spend more money if I can help it. My biggest problem is that VW and Phoenix are still on my Roo playlist, and I keep liking them more and more.
This. But you can technically see both and get back for Kanye if you stay to the right of the field for VW and left for Phoenix. Orrr find someone with an ADA wristband and "escort" them through the back road to the What after Phoenix
These LN schedules are killing me. Killing me because I will not be able to clearly decide which shows I hit. I guess I'll just follow the path of least resistance and end up wherever the crowd is smallest.
Seeing the Flaming Lips multiple times in the past and reading all the garbage with them firing the drummer for voicing his concerns makes missing them a little bit easier. Now it's looking like Nick Cave .vs. Frank Ocean for me....that's a tougher one.
Friday LN Notes:
-Definitely staying for all of Kanye, so missing some of Mastodon for sure -After Kanye, I could go straight for the rest of Mastodon, go straight to the Superjam ?, or try Disclosure, which will probably be too packed to even bother. I'm hoping the Superjam ? is so awesome it solves this dilemma. -But then later, go for Skrillex or Meshuggah? Should be an easy choice for me, Meshuggah, since I've seen them once and seen Skrillex 6-7 times, but Skrillex on the Which was so ridiculously fun two years ago its hard to pass up. Plus I have a VIP ticket so I can hop into the Which VIP pit.
Best case Friday Scenario: Superjam ? turns into a must see, so I go Kanye > Superjam > Just a bit of Skrillex > Meshuggah
Other thoughts: the upside of Mastodon starting during Kanye is I'll go straight from "Bound 2" into the thick of the Mastodon set. Will be a wild transition.
Saturday LN Notes:
-Not too interested in the Flaming Lips, so thats easy -Leave Jack White early for Skrillex Superjam? -Or stick around for Jack White, which then is Frank Ocean vs. Nick Cave? -No matter what I end up at Darkside. -I love Channel Orange but not sure if the set will be worth missing Nick Cave LN weirdness or Superjam dance party.
Best case Saturday Scenario: Jack White is awesome but not so awesome that I can't leave early, Skrillex superjam isn't packed because EDM loses popularity over the next 5 weeks and all the kids want to see Nick Cave instead. Then Darkside and I'm out.
Its all a hot mess really. I love to plan, even though I ALWAYS throw my plans out the window once I get into Centeroo, but these late nights are unplannable.
I'm just going to have to meditate over the next month or so and learn to accept whatever happens, because whatever happens it will be awesome.

VW and Phoenix aren't a conflict for me, but it's a matter of the both of them, or NMH. Good to know about the ADA thing lol. I'm also hoping there might be someone that I'm with who can hold a spot down for me at the what for Kanye - though this would be less of a problem if I just saw NMH. We'll see how I'm feeling.
really though man, how long are you going to keep this act up? and more baffling, why?
this isn't a conspiracy theory, we 100% without a doubt KNOW its you. just seems stupid to keep the act up imo.
youre really into this. its really weird.
please tell me how you "know" "100% without a doubt."

And you can keep trying to turn this into "me being weird about this" all you want, but we all know I referenced you as Juggs once in a post a few days ago and a handful of other were right there to start arguing the fact and denying it, even so much as PMing me to lie for you. Of course when I know its you, I find this quite humorous.
I just realized that some of the morning Cinema stuff isn't on the excel sheet. I pulled it straight from the schedule, but I'm going to go back and add in the early morning Cinema so it's accurate.
You're the one turning this into a big deal by creating and continuing to take part in this "act" of yours, not me.
By all means, continue to try and convince everyone you're a "new member" here. Like I said, I already know its you, so I just find the whole thing pathetic and humorous.

It would be harder (logistically) to see NMH and get a good spot for Kanye. Even if someone holds a spot its amatter of getting TO that good spot from This.

this is funny
i asked you what made you "know."
you sent the definition of ip address.
i called you out on it for being really creepy, and now youre backpedaling
so its funny. either you have some sort of "proof" that im juggs because you illegally took peoples ip addresses.

sarah jarosz vs yonder mountain vs goat is pure murder. i've never had a three way conflict before. luckily yonder and sarah are both playing other dates near me, so goat is the go to.
disappointed by most of the late nights this year...not too much into the edm scene. will probably give me the opportunity to stop by the silent disco/recover for next day

GOAT should be the go to regardless. They're fantastic live.
Not sure what I should do for the second row of artists on Sunday. Debating between Goat, Okkervil River, and Yonder Mountain string Band. Recommendations?
I've never seen them live but Goat looks like it will be a very fun show...very excited about them.....totally different vibe than the other two.

Another reason to swing with Goat, if you're on the fence, is that they are from Sweden. It's more likely you'll have (or have already had) more opportunities to see the other two due to proximity.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
I am still working mine out; think I got all the sets I want to try to hit - now I have to hash out which sets are partials.
Does anyone use the distance between sets as a meaningful determinant as to if you are going to skip out early from a set - or to even try for it at all?
Also, it looks like I am going to try for Tent Only this year - there is only one gap all week that I can see with enough time to make a long trek (like Pod 9) there and back, chill enough at camp to make it worthwhile, and then fight my way back through the entrances.
Thursday (so far): Allah-lahs-->Cass McCombs-->Thao & TGDSD*-->*MS MR-->Cherub-->Banks-->Polica-->J. Roddy*-->*White Denim-->Ty Seagull (* denotes partial sets, missing at least fifteen minutes)
11-12 hours straight in Centeroo; ten sets with ten hours of music; one collective hour of conflicts; 45 minutes not booked. Of course, this depends on me teleporting to some stages and having crap views at others.

Phoenix is so tempting. I'm still not sure its worth it though since I'd probably end up with a poor spot for them and Kanye if I went. When I could just chill and see Janelle > VW > Kanye from right outside the pit most likely. Yeah thats what I'm doing. Fuck it I've seen Phoenix before.
I also think I'm going to see Ice Cube and then the last half of the Superjam after much personal debate.
I'm not sure if Cut Copy will even be worth it if I'm running over from James Blake. The back of the Which is a terrible place to experience music and I'd be sacrificing Key positioning for Jack. Still up in the air on this one.
White Denim vs. Pusha T Flaming Lips vs. Frank Ocean
these are my only headaches really. Can't complain.
