Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Thank you for your interest in the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival!
Unfortunately, we will be filling up that POD1 section first again. However, we are working on a way to get you tent only campers to tent only faster and more efficiently without the quarantine!
Please let us know if you have any further questions !
Because people coming out of Pod 1 would have to constantly cross over the road where people are being driven in.
Wasn't there the occasional bit of heavy machinery crossing as well? Also, let's not forget how they "fixed" the Ditch last year.
That makes sense. But if I remember correctly, if you weren't parked in POD 1 on Wednesday night you were allowed to wander. This is just adding to the funny. I really have nothing but love for that camp.

YES!!!! this just proves that the bonnaroo team actually listens to the fan base!!! I bet they will route traffic to camping only using the main stage entrance from pod 1.

This would actually be a logical solution. Don't know its plausibility since I never used that entrance but sounds better than waiting until the guards fall asleep.

When does this quarantine begin?..I ask because I will be on site in Pod 1 already for volunteering..my volunteer work schedule is done Wednesday at 3 pm, so I would like to head to tent only right after 3 pm!

I think if you're volunteering, you can lug all your stuff over to tent only before your shift. That's what my friends did last year and they were directly in front of the arch.

What if we park somewhere, walk in with our gear, set up our camp in tent-only, and then walked out, got the car, drove in and simply waited until the quarantine was over to get to our campsite? Would that work?

I've said this before and I'll say it again: I like Pod 1. With the abundant taxi service and extra What Stage entrance after Friday.... it's hardly the outcast refugee camp people make it out to be.

I agree with the last sentence, but "like" is too strong a word lol. If the taxis didn't cost money and if they opened the What stage entrance on Thursday and earlier on Fri/Sat/Sun I might feel differently. I don't really mind Pod 1 because when I'm at Roo I just accept that I'm going to be doing all the walking so there's no point in really complaining about it...but it'd be nice to not have to do it.
I also dislike the quarantine mostly because you can't get to the vendors. My first year I grossly underestimated how cold it can get at night, and luckily I was able to walk to get a blanket because I was in Pod 2. If I was in Pod 1 I'd have been royally fucked.

the quarantine was there because the road by pod 1 is used for "vendor traffic" even after the normal attendee traffic dies down, but it doesn't really make sense anyways, because there is a sidewalk (sort of) that you have to use anyways. nobody walks on the road. a simple crossing guard and some caution tape would fix the whole issue.
and whoever it was that said they were working in there…. be prepared to deal with a lot of really angry and confused people. i was pretty sure we were about to start a riot last year.

I'm on my phone. But a certain Beastie Boys video is completely appropriate here.

I just remember having a beer in each hand and trying to just go explore a bit. A guy walked up to us and asked how we were then what we were doing. When we told him exploring he just said "Ah, that sounds like an adventure for tomorrow." We kept walking and he just said "No guys, seriously. You're stuck here for the night."
Then we just drank more and followed the traveling band for a bit. Somehow ended up at some other campsite that was trying to rave or something. Went back to our camp and passed out.
The next morning we were getting to know our neighbors and discovered that they were part of the little band that formed Wednesday and all was right in the world. I need to see if they're coming back this year.

I wonder if the fix is just tasking the staff/volunteers with directing traffic and monitoring people rather than just blocking it off. I haven't been a part of the Pod 1 quarantine ever, but it doesn't seem like a situation that couldn't be kept under control if they had enough people.

Nobody was bashing it in this thread, so your hipster opinion as unnecessary but appreciated. I'm merely taking about the quarantine in order to get out to go to Camp Inforoo. I camped in Pod 1 several years and it was fine.
