Honestly I don't care either way. From those in the runoff, jfg is the only one that makes me suspicious. I just knew there was talk of some wanting another runoff and since I have the ability to do something to help that along, I wanted to make it known I was willing to do it if it would be beneficial.
Surf - Sleepy only mentioned/voted for Krissy and Tejas, but here I am referring only to Tejas.
If Sleepy was killed for his Tejas vote, I am inclined to believe that there wasn't much that could be done to bail out Tejas. Meaning that if a fellow mafia was voting with Tejas, they can't do anything and Tejas is done for. If Tejas had fellow mafia voting for him, they would have tried something to save him . . . like switch from him to me. No one did switch which points no fellow mafia to help him at that point. If no one could switch, they are voting with Tejas already - you, Bacon, Krissy, and JFG.
I see what you're saying but that whole line of reasoning is based on Tejas being mafia.
I find that quite unlikely.
With 2 other mafia to vote with Tejas, it would be near impossible to get 8 blind townies to get that lucky. I remember someone doing statistics on it way back when and it's rare.
Interestingly enough it's happened in 2 other games that I've played in - one of which I was mafia voted out in the first round because another mafia voted for me and never changed it - a confusing move. The other was when (whoever, I forget) didn't post for days in the first round and happened to be mafia.
As my time draws to a close I would like to say thanks for letting me play this new-to-me game. Not sure that I will play again, as I seemed to upset vets with my noobness. My only other option was keeping quiet, and I figured that would make me look like Mafia. Y'all will find out if you voted right by the end of the game.
While I can still post, can any one who has played a bunch of games let me know how often a player is voted out on a 5-2-2 vote in the second round? Follow up, how many times did they turn out to be Mafia?

Thanks. For my part, I haven't taken anything personally in that I am emotionally hurt. I did enjoy my time. After all, this is a game where you win by deception. It just seems counterproductive to have someone in the game who is disrupting things to the level at which I was described.
Let me be the first to say that the Mike D whack could certainly point at me. Another smart whack by the mafia. I was considering the fact that Mike D was mafia (clearly isn't - but I was tossing the idea around).
Just want to address a couple of things: 1) the vote for Mike in the first round was completely arbitrary. I looked at the list, and voted him because he beat us in the last game. Nothing more to it than that. 2) Mike never came out and suggested that I was mafia. He did, however, suggest that Tejas was. And it is very unusual to get a mafia in the first round. Could Mike have been inspector? 3) If we assume, for the sake of discussion, that bacon is mafia, Who would be the worst person to whack? Me.
Ill go back and check votes and match them with whacks tonight, and do some analyzing. We have a fair amount of data to go on, but I am seeing very smart whacks by the mafia - so they may be concealing their votes well too. Crafty mafia this game...
The most interesting thing about this whack is the fact that it seems very disconnected to bacon at first glance. Which would be a smart move.
Lastly... I don't want to call you out, but I have a strong hunch I know who the inspector is. I feel like if I was inspector in this game this is where I would come out with it. But Im not sure - its hard to say. Every person in the game looks at it from a different angle.
I've got to beleive mafia absolutely thought Mike was inspector. Time to start digging into his posts but I think his last post(2nd to last? Not positive) is a good jumping point as it was really his "theory" post.
Jimmy, I am actually getting a little lost in all this he said she said we have had today. My vote for surf was based on how I saw the mafia kill and I am happy with a Surf/JFG runoff if it comes to that. With Surf's inconsistencies and discussion I am comfortable with keeping my vote on him.
I am not used to basically everyone saying that the first kill of the game was simply a move to throw off everyone, it is the only piece of info we have that we know for certain the mafia was behind so it would make sense for the mafia to want to get us away from that.
To let yall know where I am, if we are going to say that Krissy was the "too obvious" choice, the mafia killed Sleepy for his vote on Tejas and they weren't able to do anything about it, meaning that the likely suspects are Surf, Bacon, and JFG. These three (along with Krissy) had their votes on me already and could do nothing to "save" Tejas IF Tejas was mafia. It is also possible that there was a vote for Tejas and they thought a move was going to raise too much suspicion, so I could see 1 of Hakunah, Carini, Jimmy or Jaz, but a shot at one of them seems much less likely than a shot at those who voted with Tejas, hence why I am fine with either Surf or JFG at this point. Krissy is still high on my radar though as she was the obvious target of Sleepy and also voted with Tejas.

Yeah - that post definitely points to me. Not only does Mike raise suspicion towards me, it also links me with Bacon and JFG - 2 people I feel are mafia.
Awesome whack, mafia - youll probably get a 2 for 1 with that one. I can't see how I can survive this round unless the town digs in and looks at how dumb it would be for the mafia to whack Mike D if it pointed DIRECTLY at one of them. Like, lets say I was the whack. Bacon would get lynched. If bacon was mafia, they couldn't touch me - it would knock one of them out. Same deal here. No way can the mafia whack Mike D if I am one of them. It would be suicide.

Going off of Mike's theories and the fact that surf's explanations make sense to me:

My office is in the process of boxing stuff up and moving, so it's gonna be hard for me to be terribly active today. I will check in periodically and add more thoughts if I have them. Just wanted to make sure I got my vote in before I have to pack up.
So my reasoning for voting Hakuna is simple-He is mafia along with Jimmy and Surf (98% sure). How do I know? I asked Boner and he confirmed last night on Hakuna. With the name given to me of Jimmy, and a wrong guess of Mike D first night, I arrived at our conclusion about 10 minutes after my guess was confirmed. If you look at the last runoff voting it is very strange how I managed to get so little attention, or is it? JFG had nailed mafia with his posts of Hakuna, Surf, and me all being the members, with the Jimmy for me switch missed of course. With JFG acting weird, the missed vote, and the back and forth with me and Krissy, it was almost to easy for him to get voted off in a landslide. I was wondering how I slipped by so easily, and Surf & Bacon spun my head in circles with their exchanges yesterday, but the votes at the end point right to Surf as the third, combined with the desire to go against JFG as he put it, to make sure they had him voted off, and not whacked as that would lead right to them. Surf is the only one of the 3 I am not 100% positive on, but all evidence from and with the other 2 points right at him.
JFG-BIG ASSIST!! couldn't have done it without you, sorry I had to help with your demise, but I needed to stay alive for the now obvious reasons and I didn't really suspect you much
Bacon-Good help tripping Surf up with the pick your runoff opponent trick, If he didn't stumble through it and simply picked JFG I might have missed him.
That's convenient . You're first guess, Mike is dead, and can't speak up. And then Jimmy and myself, who have basically had the least heat on us out of anyone. And care to explains what made me a good guess?
And really I don't know what jfg getting votes has to do with this.

I'm not surprised you don't agree with me Hakuna, why would you? I guessed Mike D first night because his vote for Tejas took Jimmy out of the runoff in the first round before anyone had a second thought on him. I had you and Krissy on my radar also for potential first night guesses. You for 2 reasons-the flat out statement saying never use math-why would you say never use it unless you knew that one of the 4 in the day one runoff was mafia? Second reason is your posts seemed different from other games I read when you were town. Third is Jimmy said JFG and Mike D made some good points on day 1, and you were one of the few that their posts didn't lead to. Krissy was more gut feeling then anything but She wasn't a consideration of mine after the first day.
I was thinking of guessing Bacon or Surf last night but I couldn't make heads or tails of their exchange so I went with you instead.
I wasn't lying early yesterday when I didn't have a read on Surf, I didn't figure that out until about 15 minutes after Boner confirmed my guess of you.
Look at who the last 3 votes for JFG were, like I said, they had to make sure he died via vote and not whack and also the placement of the vote shifting
All true statements, but in different posts trying to shed light on separate scenarios. Actually re: voting for myself, I asked if it were allowed. I didn't really think through the second part about me moving to jfg in the runoff and how that would make that round of voting strange and less than productive.
My preferences 1) runoff with me or carini and jfg 2) jfg voted off (my feeling is that he is most likely to be mafia between him and carini) 3) the rest of the options just don't seem right to me.
jfg has gone silent, now that there is some heat on me. nicely played. I won't come right out and accuse you of being mafia jfg, but Id say youre quite likely to be.
jfg - bacon - ???? is my guess at this point. Hard to figure the 3rd one out.
