Yup, but mostly while the sun is out. At night it's easier to just use the water stations. I fill up a water jug at filling stations when there's not a crowd but in general I don't like to wait around if there are tons of people doing it at the same time. Plus, the water is drinkable but not as refreshing as an ice-cold bottle. Usually if I'm walking from stage to stage I'll grab two bottles and chug one while walking and save the other one.
It's so much easier and satisfying than waiting in a crowd each time I want to re-fill. Whenever people complain about the refill station lines I just shrug and drink my ice cold water bottle.
I'm surprised you don't just use a Camelbak or something. The only thing I dislike about mine is that it makes me less mobile, but I like knowing I'm hydrated so it's worth it. Glad your water bottles work for you though, maybe I'll try that during LN this year (if I ever make it out of Centeroo).
I've grown used to using a big backpack that I've had for years and tend to bring that along with me so never really used/owned a camelbak. I've made it work but have almost bought a camelbak a few times. Not opposed to it....just got used to water bottles + backpack.
I have literally done Roo for $450 when I lived in Charlotte and that includes ticket, gas, and everything else. I ate everyday, got drunk everyday, and I can guarantee I had just as much fun as everyone else. Granted I did not buy any poster or shirts or any other merch, It amazes me that people bring $400-$600 just for food and beer.
How many is a case? 1.75 litres of spirits? How big is a box of wine?
In the UK you can't park where you camp at any festivals so the rules are basically as much as you can be bothered to carry a mile to your tent. It's usually a lot.
A box of wine is 3 liters. You can take the plastic pouch out of the box and it takes up hardly any room in a cooler. I may be somewhat of an expert on boxed wines Don't forget to pour any liquor you have in glass into plastic bottles.
You park where you camp so it's worth bringing lots of booze (and water) in with you.
I also bring in all my drinks, because I hate beer, and they don't serve wine or liquor. So I don't spend any money in Bonnaroo on alcohol. I do buy water (they do have free water stations, but they often have long lines) and food, usually 2 meals a day and maybe a snack or two, and I usually spend around $35 a day on those. I always buy a poster and a tee-shirt ($35 each) but I put those on my band card.
please explain this magical band card you speak of?
Oops typo! But hell that does sound like a wonderful thing
i usually spend probably around $100 in centeroo over the course of the weekend. granted, i don't drink and i'm a cheapo, but i do love me some ice cream and posters. we always eat sandwiches before leaving camp and fill my camelbak pockets with granola and snacks so we only buy one meal in centeroo throughout the day.

my gf and i usually budget about $300 for centeroo - to share. we aren't big drinkers, though - she'll have a couple ciders and i may have a good beer in the brooers tent.
we make breakfast at camp and i try to eat a hot dog or something before we leave for centeroo. we snack in centeroo during the day and grab some dinner there in the evening. someday we'll do VIP and i'll make some awesome grill food for dinner, but in GA where you'll be camped is too much of a gamble to count on walking back to camp for dinner.

Ok I guess I am a "Big Spender" because I budget 100 dollars a day while at Bonnaroo. I do not always spend it but if I wanna buy something I can. To me, it is nice to have it in case u need it! I also buy things for people back home too that were unable to go. $400 spending cash and I always bring money back home.

Ya I budget $500-$400 for Roo and it is plenty even rocking the Brooers tent and get something from the merch/poster stuff. We come from over 1,300 miles away so it is totally vaca time. Zero percent worry about what I am buying when I am buying it.
I now know to bring somewhere between 60 and 800 dollars. Either way I will make sure I have enough so we don't have to worry. It is actually our vacation, so why not!
We will bring as much beer and whisky as we are allowed to bring in. Plus, as we are English, we like our beers warm.
in case you didn't know, 2 cases and (1) 1.75 bottle per person. and i think two boxes of wine, all must be plastic, as far as bottles go, alum cans are fine of course

That's per person per evening right?
trust me, i wish it was my friend. but that is the allotted amount to bring in per person for the weekend. i have been lucky the last couple years to have at least one person that wasn't going to drink their share so we were able to have extra. thus i end up buying a handful of beers inside centeroo to make sure i have more at camp

I was only joking. Seems like a fair amount of alcohol each!

About 100 worth of camp food. About 100 per person centroo food. Beer, I maybe spend about 50 dollars total.
Bring a bottle of your best liquor, a plastic hiking flask, and mix it while in centroo. Just hide it in your pack. Think like a security guard. I mixed bourbon and lemonade all weekend long last year.
I bring 1k with me for the entire weekend. 500 for each of us.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I spent WAYYYY more in Centeroo the past few years than I ever have in the past. The cool days = MOAR BEER.
For it to be cool for me it will genuinely have to be under 20 Celsius. I don't think I am going to cope with the heat. I will head all advice about tons of water, hat, sunscreen etc. But if you see a ginger guy, surrounded by empty beer cans, covered in sunscreen with a stupid hat, its not because I am drunk.
It's because I'm English. And Ginger. And weak.
Pour water on me or get a couple of friends together and drag me into the shade.

Take money for beer out of my wallet.
HA! I think you just assaulted yourself.
Insulted yes. I think that self deprication is one the true British traits.
Assaulted no. I would possibly be too polite to tell people to stop, but I think I would wake with some gusto if I was being robbed. I saw it more as a reward for being a good person.

Had some "well endowed" ladies who camped in front of us. They stashed a bag inside their shirts and walked right through security.

Just passing this along-- got an email today from Paypal informing me that 'Rooers will be able to use "the mobile PayPal app to purchase food and beverages digitally in dedicated lines." Didn't say *which* lines, but still, that's something. Knowing me, I should probably stick to cash-- I can just see myself racking up some ridiculous tab at the Brooers tent while thinking "hey, it's not *real* money, it's Paypal!"

Yeah, my normal bar tabs can get out of hand.. I shutter to think what my tab would be at the Bonnaroo Brooer's Tent, after all it's not like I'm just going to be drunk

I am sure that broo'ers will still be tickets- however- I suppose you might be able to get the tickets with the app.
