Melt added Kiasmos, Monolink, and Boys Noize to their Thursday night pre-party.
Melt added Kiasmos for Thursday and I have an expensive hotel reservation in Berlin.
Melt added Kiasmos and I'm going to Melt and still not seeing Kiasmos
It's just a DJ set. There's probably something more interesting happening in Berlin tbh
Yeah I would take any inception, but I wouldn't want my only impression of them to just be an average DJ set (though that Printworks' Melt party set looked dope). Hopefully they are active soon so I can catch the real thing. Ólafur Arnalds' new one doesn't come out until late August so it's not looking likely for Coachella next year.
Anyone been to Woodstock '69? Seems like the space itself might make the show worth the trip.
edit: my options for another night were Gerd Janson and Skream. I was leaning towards Gerd only because I'm more familiar with his music, but I know people are high on Skream. Anyone have any advice?

I'm not really familiar with any of those beyond a few songs.
The weekend I'm in Amsterdam is actually kinda insane. Gonna try for Leon Vynehall @melkweg on Friday, Skee Mask @ De School On Saturday, and DJ Koze @ Thuishaven on Sunday.

Mano Le Tough is a great DJ, he kills it every time. Skream has gotten pretty mediocre.

That’s about what I figured re: Skream. I’ve been in love with Gerd’s stuff lately so should be plenty of high points there. Will probably go ahead and catch Mano. Should be a fun day party.

De School is a cool venue.
I was considering trying for it Friday and Saturdday just cause I keep hearing how sick it is but I've also heard it's not hard to get into like Berghain or something. Is that true?

I thought it was just a reg venue with ticketed entry? That was my experience at least and how they seem to operate via instagram.
No, I'm going to Mad Cool, though the choice was still kinda hard to make because Dour is such a mellow festival. It actually barely needs any headliners to sell well and you've all these little gems (like 070-shake famous from her work now with Kanye) who are on this line up. Next year I'm probably back.
I'd do Le 77 > Juicy > King Doudou > Charlotte Adigery > Jon Hopkins > Modeselektor > DJ Premier Ulysse > Angèle > Son Lux / GoldLink > Little Dragon > Joey Bada$$ > BBNG > Odesza > Chem Bros > DJ Tennis / Jarreau Vandal Shame > L'Or Du Commun > Parcels > Caballero & Jeanjass > Slowdive > Mogwai > Soulwax > Black Madonna > Talaboman Onmens > Baxter Dury > Pallbearer > Princess Nokia > Chelsea Wolfe > Mount Kimbie > Nils Frahm > alt-J > Denzel Curry > Daphni > Paula Temple b2b Rebekah Equal Idiots > Ezra Collective > Fidlar > Polo & Pan > Big Boi > Amelie Lens <3 > Ministry > Tyler > Ben Klock > Boris Brejcha

I'm a fan. You'd be crazy to skip Yob on this tour, imo. A few of the best shows I've seen all year. The rest of the names are pretty easy for me to see here but it's a solid three days: Elder, Dopethrone, High On Fire, Enslaved, Eagle Twin and Amenra would be awesome.
Two names that I'm stoked to see are the Europeans that haven't toured the US: Wiegedood and my guilty pleasure, Lucifer.
