^This is, without a doubt, the best festival lineup I've seen in 2019. How impossible is it to do this festival if you live in the US and have never been to Australia? Asking only half seriously.

I guess you could do it by flying into Brisbane and taking a bus/renting a car to the festival site...
The Thursday is so stacked but it's the day that is getting the most criticism because it just has the one headliner (although they easily could have made a couple of the sub headliners a co headliner) and the complaints are that Bon Iver is a weak headliner. I'm foreseeing conflict hell as is that day so cant imagine the problems if there was another headliner I liked.
They decided that 3 months before the festival, when most of the traveling visitors already booked flights, was the perfect timing to reveal their 'opening' party for an additional 30 euros. Twats.

One of the worst run festivals I’ve ever been to. If it’s anything like last year, it’s gonna be a shitshow.
Fri: Julien Baker > John Grant > Primal Scream > Stereolab > Spiritualized > Charlotte Gainsbourg > Bon Iver > DJ Koze > Shame > LSDXOXO
Sat: Helena Deland > Hop Along > Yves Tumor > Phosphorescent > Aldous Harding > Death Grips > Ex Hex > Cigarettes After Sex > Kraftwerk 3D > Sophie > Giant Swan
Sun: Julia Holter > Big Thief > Caroline Rose > Liz Phair > Princess Nokia > Kate Tempest > The Raconteurs > Carly Rae Jepsen > Interpol > Christine & the Queens
Curators for this year's LGW?. Seems a bit weaker compared to previous years, excited for what kind of lineup they are gonna come up with.
It makes me rather even more curious what they're gonna come up with especially Patrick Higgins and Jenny Hval. I suppose Diawara is gonna take of the African branche of the line up which I'm also pretty excited about though I'm not to sure what to expect from her given the collabs she's done in the past and this is an avant-garde themed festival. It could also go totally the other way around and provide the festival with some excellent African artists like Nihiloxica f.e. would be a great fit for the festival.
