Blink must have a great agent putting them third on a bill with Tame, Wu Tang, Chem Bros, Rosalía and Lil Nas X behind them lol.
Not sure if it’s the same in Europe, and I assume it’s similar in South America, but pop punk from 20 years ago is definitely having a moment in North America

Oh, it does here aswell but last time they were in Belgium they played third down late in the afternoon at Rock Werchter before System Of A Down and Linkin Park. To see them headline above all these names is kinda funny. They're not a headliner at all imo, classic line-up or not.

that was without Tom, no one cares for Blink without Tom.
It’s funny how people consider Lil Nas X with one album a sure fire headliner over one of the biggest pop punk bands (with its original line up) of all time. Especially during this huge pop punk revival.

It's a classic case of " I don't like the band so they cant be that popular"
My childhood friends’ dad was a pretty successful music journalist and in the 2000s he covered a blink-182 show at the local amphitheater. In his review, he said that Tom and Mark seemed tense in their interactions with each other and that he was uncertain on the future of the band. Tom called him that day and threatened to sue him for defamation if he didn’t take back his article. They broke up a week later
Good thing I only said that they must have a great agent with so many big acts aswell on the line-up and my only reference for them seeing them a few years back giving a ridiculously bad show in the late afternoon, but sure put some shit in my mouth. Especially that stuff about Lil Nas X.

Has anyone ever been to this? I’m moving to London soon so I’m scoping out another EU fest to hit up in addition to Primavera. Some of the past lineups for this thing are insane.
Thu: Sote & Tarik Barri > Max Cooper > Huerco S > Divide and Dissolve > KMRU > The Notwist
Fri: Hatis Noit > They Hate Change > Bohren & der Club of Gore > Zebra Katz > Laurel Halo > Rival Consoles
Sat: Moor Mother & billy woods > Derya Yildirim > Charlotte Adigery & Bolis Pupul > GNOD > Goat > Lena Willikens > Kokoko! > Batu
Sun: Marina Herlop > Supersilent > Horse Lords > Panda Bear & Sonic Boom > upsammy & Sjoerd Martens > The Bug
this fest is soooo good. last year was incredible even with all the covid bs. curation aspect is the coolest, being able to start out with shows in a church and end at 7am clubbing while walking and biking is next level. need to get back asap
What part do you find particularly interesting? Lineup is pretty bland to my eyes.
not the lineup but the fact that this is the first multi genre festival ive seen in india
It had been announced for a while they were doing this anyway. I mean the bummer is they couldnt have booked it like South America and they wouldve gone nuts.
