Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.

Also, may not be a popular one with the masses but raise the age limit. This is no place for a baby or little children. They can call it family festival all they want but these babies need the comfort of their home not sitting in the heat. I saw one woman at Cage the Elephant with a newborn. She was in GA, in the heat, with an umbrella surrounded by people smoking pot. I am sorry but someone can push her and the baby. The heat is detrimental for babies. What are these women thinking? So many things can go wrong. An infant can die in those conditions. If I am extremely uncomfortable in the heat/sun I cannot even phantom what those poor children are going through. There is no need to put babies through that strife.
Then I saw a lady walking around with a line of like 5 toddlers tied to a rope? What the fuck?
+1. This was my first Bonnaroo and I was mildly disturbed at the presence of small children. I think the overwhelming majority of us are free-spirited folks and I totally get wanting to expose your children to a variety of people from all walks of life. However, between the Tennessee humidity, the women sunbathing during midday sets, the people rumored to be running around pods butt-ass naked, the incessant pot smoking, the incessant calls (or dare I say pleadings?) for a girl a named Molly, that one chick who got so fucked up she started attacking people, that one guy literally giving himself uncomfortable wedgies while dancing in his skivvies during a set, and the 6am reverberating bass drops, I am hard-pressed to call this a family festival.
Bonnaroovian parents, please do yourselves and the rest of us a favor by finding a babysitter for the small kids for the weekend. Your kids will be teenagers soon enough.
- The don't allow blankets/mist fans (which do not have a negative affect on anyone), but keep allowing 20 foot poles with flags that block peoples view.....
They didn't allow the totems in, people simply tossed them over the wall of centeroo and retrieved them on the other side. I'm sure people did the same with blankets. Rules are meant to be broken
Use the same barricades that are used in the tents, for the pit line up at What, A few people could have me seriously injured when the line surge knocks those flimsy aluminum barriers over I too of people.
People were freaking out b/c they stopped letting people into the pit for Kanye, in order to allow roll like a rockstar, guests ect into the pit due to the rafter viewing areas being blocked by those huge curtains. People were dieing in the pit line because Kanye wanted big curtains.
-Pave the walk between campgrounds and the arch. -Give Forrest Gump a paying gig. -Get rid of that awful Kalliope thing, or at least move it. -I really liked the idea of having patrons picking up litter for prizes, but advertise it better. The amount of garbage this year seemed significantly higher than last year, but that could just be attributed to the fact I wasn't wasted all weekend this year and actually paid attention. -Keep your hands off my blanket. -Make ice vendors more accessible to everyone. If you're paying an astronomical amount for ice you shouldn't have a bag of cold water by the time you get back to camp. -Inform us of stage switches! Between not knowing that Lauryn Hill and James Blake switching spots and Lauryn Hill being a half an hour late getting her set started that whole block of time was a big disappointment. -Give me Regina Spektor! -Fix the online wristband ordering process. I realize it's a huge volume of customers flooding the site but g'damn.

For starters, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF HUMANITY quit putting bigger drawing acts in The Miller Lite On Tap Lounge or better yet, MOVE IT and spread it out. The Oswalds had people HANGING/STANDING from the top of the tent, also the fans knocked down the barricade rail and they lost power at their set. Poor planning for an act who had been on Late Night w/Letterman TWICE!
Monster Truck (for which I was on the rail) had a crowd that extended way past the tent as did Animals as Leaders. Monster Truck had to mention to stop pushing people into the rail (which did not help much but hey, they tried) because of lack of room! I loved the lineup on this stage but with those ridiculous bleachers, it made it feel like we were stacked on top of each other.
Put a sign (or a marker) to let people know where Cafe Where is located. Some OUTSTANDING music took place their during Roo 2014 and there are people who still have no idea where it is located.
I think you meant Orwells, not "Oswalds". Also, the crowd didn't knock the power out. Security purposely cut them off until they got everyone off the tent. The behavior was pretty typical for an Orwells show, I just don't think Bonnaroo knew what they were getting themselves into when they put them there.
Keep the VIP bathrooms in Centeroo open all night.
They were. You had to know to go around the back and get to them that way.
That was the original idea, but the evening after Skrillex they had it shut down. Basically, they don't have a staff to monitor the bathrooms after hours and it ended up a huge hot mess. The bathroom staff was not pleased to say the least.
I really think they can do a better job with the cleanliness of the porto johns. I know it's 80k plus people, but that just means you have to have more porto cleanings. Also if the cleaners actually gave a crap (pun intended) like putting TP on the actual rollers, that would be nice. What's the point of having any tp in there if it's just sitting on the ledge getting pissed on? Also hand washing stations - There was one behind one of the porto stations which was great - more of these please, or as I've seen at another fest, these little hand washing stands with soap and a foot pedal that pumps water.
*I know it may not seem like a huge deal, but I think actual hand washing would really cut down on sickness post festival* Plus I discovered the unpleasant way, there are sicknesses out there for which the germs cannot be killed with hand sanitizer.
Have the app update when there are schedule changes, and have those schedule changes more apparent. I got the text alerts from Twitter, but a lot of people were shocked to find out about Frank Ocean/Skrillex SJ change after they had been camped out for a while.
This. Same thing happened with James Blake and Lauryn Hill. I would have been completely fooled had my friend not noticed the schedule change in the Bonnaroo Beacon.
Also, Jesus the misting fan thing is fucking ridiculous. If they're worried about fucking acid, why not ban bottles of water because people can take the cap off and splash people with water laced with acid. Better yet, let's just not have a fucking Bonnaroo at all because 80,000 people in a field where you're exposed to the elements is a "hazard." Don't want to be legally liable for a tornado, you know. Even worse, a tornado with acid in it.
Security was hit and miss this year, mostly positive but nowhere near as good and organized as it was last year. While I didn't see anything go down because of this, I was really worried by how they were handling the Which pit system. They basically had one big line for all the acts and when it was time for a certain act to start, they would call out "anyone wanting to see 'x' can now enter." This does multiple things. Shifting that many people around just opens up a greater possibility of line-crashers and people rushing and the possibility of someone getting trampled. It also confuses people who were used to the old system of thinking that a pit line for a particular artist is longer than it is. I saw a long-ish line for Dr. Dog on Friday but it turns out it was people lining up for everybody.
Also, the guys handling traffic out on Sunday night were massive dicks.

I feel like life's cruelest joke was Bonnaroo putting A$AP Ferg in between Goat and Washed Out. I usually try not to be negative about music since its subjective and everybody likes things for different reasons and blah blah blah, but Fuck Everything about that horrible A$AP Ferg set.

Just cause you don't like it doesn't make it horrible.
I brought in my mist fan every day... strange. I had it in the side of my camelbak. They must have not seen it.
My main things: 1. Drop Select Inn's hotel package. It's a bad image to put people in that hotel even if it was a free hotel. I hope the rumors are true that the contract has ended with this hotel and they will be adding two more next year to go with Embassy Suites. I would not even put my worst enemy in that place... no offense to the nice staff. 2. Work on the flow of traffic on Sunday nights. Some people went to their bus at 9:00 to leave since they had to drive out of state, and the bus wasn't able to arrive until 3 hours later due to police controlling the traffic in/out of the farm. 3. Would it be possible to plant a few more trees on the farm for shade? Sunday was one of the more brutal days I've been at Bonnaroo and people looked like they were scorchin' with most of the shade spots taken. 4. For people doing the VIP upgrade, mail the actual VIP wristband instead of the general wristband with a VIP upgrade ticket. Or at least make it clear people need to go specifically to the VIP tollbooth to do the exchange. I talked to a few people who liked to have never found a staff member who knew where they actually needed to swap out the wristbands. 5. I never really found out why there was a need for swapping James Blake/Lauryn Hill... and Frank Ocean and the Super Jam. If it was a space issue, shouldn't this have been clear when making the schedule? There was a lot of confusion at those tents/shows.

Considering my disclaimer conveniently located just right before that sentence...
I get why Bonnaroo has weird booking in tents like that. It's for crowd control to make sure a particular tent doesn't get too full through the day if it sticks to one theme. The "cruel joke" part comes from booking that act in between two acts whose fanbases would probably find the lyrics and stage show of A$AP Ferg to be disrespectful to women and unabashedly celebratory of violence and materialism. I'm not faulting people for liking this, because people find enjoyment in music for different reasons, and just because somebody enjoys or even makes music like that doesn't necessarily reflect on their character.
But for ME, wanting to see Goat and Washed Out, Fuck Everything about that horrible (to ME) A$AP Ferg set.
I'm conflicted on this one... part of me likes the randomness.
And part of me wanted all those ASAP Ferg fans to stop ruining GOAT.
Oh man. Some kid pushed in between me and this chick that I was with to sit down in front of us with his headphones in. After about 5 minutes of him sitting there I tapped him on the shoulder and said,
"hey you're listening to GOAT in those headphones right?"
to which he replied
"nah man I'm listening to something else and waiting on A$AP ferg"
Sheesh. It should have been warpaint in between GOAT and Washed Out. I wouldn't have left the Other Tent until Elton.
Ban those stupid fucking huge celebrity head signs. This asshat at Kanye was blocking everyones view with his, even got chants of "PUT YOUR SIGN DOWN".
And let's make sure the check-in things work next time before you open the festival.
And how about the workers paying attention at night when people leave? When we left on Thursday night, no one checked us out because everyone was just standing around talking to each other. So we got hassled the next day when we tried to come in for not getting signed out or whatever.
Sheesh. It should have been warpaint in between GOAT and Washed Out. I wouldn't have left the Other Tent until Elton.
As was kind of mentioned above, I think that is the point. They don't want you staying in one tent for a long period of time. For one, it just isn't real good for the general health of people. I stayed in one of the tents last year for Tallest Man on Earth >> Dirty Projectors >> Beach House and while that was an awesome set of shows it was also insanely crowded and hot the entire time. I was literally squeezed straight up against other people for probably 5 hours in a row and by the end had been out of water for at least 2. Plus, they want you visiting the vendors and you can't do that while in a tent the entire time either.

Wasn't there also a problem with the A$AP Rocky crowd last year crunching in on the Tame Impala crowd? They didn't give us 15 seconds after that Goat show.
Keep Kalliope but move it's position. I really feel like they would be better served moving Kalliope and the food trucks down into the far corner of Centeroo, where the Comedy Theater is.
Move the Comedy Theater to where's the Kalliope and food trucks were this year, there is plenty of room. Also, having the Silent Disco stay in its new spot with Kalliope there by it next year would be a nice little EDM themed area.

Yeah I meant Orwells and no, security did not cut power. I knew both of the sound guys at the show. They LOST power. Also The Orwells were pissed by being on a small stage (not the sound guys fault at all) and several times the sound guys asked them to tell everyone to move back so people did not get hurt on the rail. What did The Orwells do? Tell people to get closer. The railing broke because of it (luckily no one was hurt TOO BADLY)
Of all the acts that played Miller Lite On Tap Lounge, only ONE got a bad review by all the people who worked it on the other side. After there set, the band told the sound guys to fuck off as well. Real class act. I like their music but seriously, act professionally.

I felt like there were no real "themed" tents this year. In the past, there has been metal tents, Sacred Steel tents, world music tents etc. etc. Just seemed to be lacking that this year.
I too felt like the improvements made this year were VASTLY needed and very good.

That Miller Lite tent just doesn't work IMO. It is a little too small for some of the acts (and the sight lines in the back are horrible) plus bleeds into both Which Stage and This Tent. Do they really need both it and Sonic Stage? I'm sure this wasn't the case all the time, but I walked by a couple tiny crowds at Sonic.
