Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I did groop camping for the first time last year, and the one thing I was disappointed in was the second entrance to roo near the clock tower/ferris wheel (the entrance being the closest to groop camping). That entrance lacks the vibe the main entrance has. Instead of the zig zag line the main entrance has, where you can cheer on fellow roo'ers and of course high five as you walk, the second entrance is just a straight line against the wall, which lacks any interaction and you don't get that pumped up factor before walking through the check in. I think it would be cool to get that same vibe going and make it more of a grand entrance as well, not necessarily another arch, but something to make it more...roo.
Im actually doing ga camping this year just to be able to walk through the arch and experience that vibe again, since I only used that entrance once last year.
The arch entrance is not that much farther away from groop, and it's the entrance that makes the most sense if you're hitting up the What stage first. Also, GA camping location is a crapshoot and you may wind up even farther away from the arch.
Here's my wish for an improved Bonnaroo: Increase the area for Tent-Only camping.
The total area set aside for Tent-Only has been steadily shrinking over the years. Here's the evidence, calculated using the published maps from the Bonnaroo booklets and this tool:
The situation is actually worse than this since vendors share a portion of the Tent-Only space (and get to set up their booths and campsites before GA campers arrive).
Setting up a homestead in Tent-Only on Wednesday night has deteriorated to the point that it is reminiscent of the 1889 Oklahoma Land Rush! Good luck if you're arriving on Thursday morning!
Should restoring the Tent-Only space be an Inforoo objective? We were successful in reversing the 2013 Tent-Only rules change. We can get this changed too!

I don't foresee Bonnaroo re-expandin' the TO area. I think they push GRoop to alleviate some of that, allowin' friends to definitely camp with each other. Sure it would be nice. Even if we could get just an expansion of half our size.
I spent a bit of time each day chilling underneath the shade structure that was by the food truck oasis and I loved being able to sprawl out in the grass with friends in total shade and still be able to listen to some music.
