I dunno, seemed a reasonable question. After Coachella, the main narrative was "the crowd wasn't into Outkast." After Bonnaroo, the main narrative was "the crowd wasn't into Kanye." We can quibble about the accuracy of both of these, but perception is reality sometimes. I'm just asking which narrative reflects more poorly on which festival.
i guess if outkast had done cochella before and pulled the shit that Kanye had at roo maybe it would have been more justified? although you cant' really yell at people for indifference. its not like they all sat around and said "i'm excited about this show, but i'm going to pretend i'm not to piss these 2 guys off"

Yeah I really don't understand why anyone would attend a show just to heckle a performer they didn't like, why not camp for an awesome late night set? I easily got rail for Speedy Ortiz and had an awesome time. And I actually like Kanye. Still couldn't help but join in the "Quack Kanye" chants but those didn't really hurt anyone's vibes, just bonded everyone.

Nothing like some good ol chanting to bond a mob together.
A lot of this appears to just boil down to levels of maturity. I'm in awe at the lack of it by so many. "Fuck Kanye! Tee hee hee (hand covers mouth delicately, hears chant from others around, removes hand). Fuck Kanye!"
