I feel like Bonnaroo could always use a little more funk, a little more soul, a little more R&B... That said:
Headliners for 2015 (listing 4 in hopes of one year having What open on Thursday): Prince, MMJ, Eric Clapton, or Bob Weir/ Phil Lesh (in some sort of collaboration, even if it isn't strictly Dead related). If I can get just one of those 4 acts I'd be happy.
Needed on the undercard: -PRIMUS (Seriously, been too long since we've had Les on the farm) -The Roots (time to return as well) -Jeff Bridges and the Abiders (come on, who doesn't want The Dude?!) -Earth, Wind, and Fire (perfect in the Lionel Ritchie slot) -Leon Russell leading a Superjam (endless possibilities!)
I know, more the "dream lineup" than realistic, but tell me that wouldn't be bad@ss.
One thing I'm curious about is whether Bonnaroo would prefer not to do another superjam with Questlove because he's already been a major contributor in two now (I think this right) or if Bonnaroo would prefer to involve Questlove in a superjam because he has been so amazing in those superjams that he was a part of. Because Questlove is certainly one of the best drummers ever and he is probably THE SMOOTHEST drummer ever, but it just seems like a superjam wouldn't seem as special if you keep using an artist over and over (no matter how amazing he is)

So now that we've gotten one of the big four of the Dead back on the farm, is too much to hope for a full blown reunion in 2015 at bonnaroo? The show I saw in 04 was absolutely killer. I know it was ten years ago but dang!

Foo Fighters - they have to play Bonnaroo eventually. Beyonce - Sell tickets, diversify the lineup MMJ - New material, a small Sunday headliner...but a roo type of band that I think most would be able to live with.
Beck plays a similar spot that Bjork did in 2013 and has his own superjam. Kid Cudi gets a LN Which spot leading into a DJ. Foster the People gets a Sunday afternoon/evening What spot. As said previously, a Willie Nelson Bluegrass superjam of some sorts seems possible.

Out of all that I really hope deamau5 brings whatever tour production he is putting together to the farm

I seriously think you attempted to propose the headliners that would be least appealing to me, haha. The main problem I see with your headliners is that while MMJ could possibly headline, we all know they would be one of the weakest headliners that we've had. Because of that, if we DO get MMJ, I'm sure the two bigger headliners would have to be pretty big to make up for it... perhaps any combination of two of the following: Rolling Stones, Prince, Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay, a combo hip hop act (Jay-Z w\ Beyoncé or. Dre with Snoop), Daft Punk, etc. Also, I like to see that my Willie Nelson Bluegrass Superjam is catching on with at least one person!
I want My Morning Jacket to play the closing spot on Sunday. Do you all think that is a realistic dream?
Its been my dream since my first year in 2009. If the stars don't align next year with a new album and them being at the pinnacle of their popularity I might give up hope. But any fan of MMJ and Bonnaroo knows it'd be the set of their career and maybe the best of the fest.
I would be fine with MMJ getting a 4 or 5 spot and playing LN Which.
I also think they'd be fit for the spot that Lionel Richie had, though I'm not sure it's a good idea since they should be able to play a longer set than Lionel did, otherwise it'd perfect

I'm really sold on The Grateful Dead playing a 50th anniversary show this year and we ALL know that would be the Sunday closing show. Maybe this will be the year Roo decides to return to theirs roots though!! Haha, I'll tell y'all what I'd prefer more than a Sunday closing show... If they had the pre HL spot in front of The Dead on Sunday and they made MMJ's slot especially long (at least two hours) because sitting at the what stage and taking in five hours of the best jamming sounds like the literally PERFECT way to end roo. In fact, as I'm writing this, I have no idea how Roo can even consider doing anything other than that.
