Jay's manhood is so overwhelming it brings the ladies to tears. Every time.
I kinda wonder if Jay's virility is starting to slip. Could Beyonce be over-compensating for their increasingly disappointing sex life by writing songs about how great their sex life is? Story at 11.
Also, 'if Bey were headlining Roo, she'd have done so by now' got dismissed a couple pages ago because of how it was presented, but for the time being, this might be true. This year and last year, Bey was on or in between tours. At the end of this year, she'll have spent most of the past couple years touring. Bonnaroo has had two great chances to book her, but they haven't. And I doubt she'll still be on the road a year from now. So Beyonce 2018 or something makes more sense than 2015.
But the same can be said about Prince, Roger Waters, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, etc. etc.
Are these real lyrics? What happened to the Destiny Child days of "Survivor?" That Beyoncé didn't need no man. Now she's letting him blow all over her nice new dress? Classy.
So it's OK for male rappers (Jay-Z, Kanye, Eminem, Drake, etc) to sexualize women but the roles can't be reversed without it being "not classy"? That's a bit judgemental against women. It's 2014 not 1914.
I don't think anyone would argue that Kanye, Jay-Z and Eminem make very many "classy" songs about women. Even when Kanye tries to be "classy" in a song like White Dress, he's still dirty. Plus Jay is famously embarrassed by his own lyrics to Big Pimpin. And for being one of the most famous people on the planet, Eminem has a lot of songs about rape and domestic abuse.
I don't know enough about Drake's CDs to accurately judge, but he might be the one rapper you mentioned that actually works for your argument.

Speaking of Prince, his music is way nastier.

Well, I would say the same for Prince, Roger Waters and Coldplay. Any of those are possible, but I'm not sure they would happen -- like Beyonce, each is a bit of a reach for the festival.
The same can't quite be said for the Foo Fighters -- it's been a couple years since they've toured, and they're launching a tour now that will likely extend into next summer and possibly another year.

I don't think I ever said that it's ok for male rappers, or musicians of any genre, to promote the over sexualization (and objectivity) of women. Can it be a good song? Sure, add a good beat and some pretty vocals and anything can be a good song. But that doesn't mean that the lyrics are good too. I also never said that I was offended by what she was saying (as some are implying), because I'm not. I just think this is a stark contrast to the Beyoncé of the past. And yes, she's married now and people change. And that's cool and normal. But Beyoncé is one of the few respectable and classy women in pop music right now and I would think that she'd wear that role proudly and not sing about her husband cumming on her dress after she blows him. That's not something you want your daughter singing along with. We have enough Rihanna's singing about inappropriate bullshit that in surprised Beyoncé would give into that too.
Also, my biggest "issue" (I use the word loosely) with the lyrics are more so with the way the lyrics are presented. She's not saying she wants it. She's saying he wants it & she's obliging. I obviously have not heard this whole song, I'll look it up and have a listen, but from the verse you've listed here she's not promoting an open, honest, sexually free woman. It sounds like she's saying she blew her husband because he wanted it, not her. I'm not saying that she's singing about being forced to do anything, but it doesn't sound (from this) that she's singing about pleasing him because she wants to.
Also, just for the record, I'm glad Beyoncé and Jay Z have an active sex life. I think more married couples should go down on each other, I think it'd make everyone happier. Doesn't mean I'm going to sing about it.
Edit: listened to the song. It's good, but see my bolded statement. I still stand by everything I said. "I just wanna be the girl you like," kinda reiterates part of my point.

Since when is aiming to please your man (especially the one you're married to) a negative thing? If she didn't want to do it, I doubt she'd be singing a song about it. Or it'd be a much different type of song.

I read something a little while ago that the verse in question was kind of freestyled by Beyonce and was inspired by when her and Jay were first getting together. So I definitely think it's connected to them but if you just read the song lyrics it's not explicit that it's her husband or that it's meant to be Beyonce or Jay-Z having a healthy married life. Does Beyonce have many other songs where they are direct and 100% totally about her or does she sometimes have songs that can be interpreted as characters in a story? I legit don't know.
I have no problem with the content or "dirtiness" of the lyrics and think that she put it in a way that's much more classier than some rap and rock songs I've heard. I just don't know if I 100% agree with the "it's a healthy married couple talking about their sex life" line of thinking. I feel like that's making it too simple but I'm definitely not the best judge when it comes to Beyonce songs. Anyone care to educate me more about her other songs and the content/characters? I've skimmed through a few lyrics of songs from the most recent album that seem to have a lot of talk about "you and me" in a sexual way so it does seem like (at least the ones I picked) it's direct and about her and her current man (being Jay-Z).

I'm not saying that it's bad, and I'm not saying that she doesn't want to do it in real life or anything like that. I'm saying it's being presented in a negative way in the song because of the way the lyrics are written.
And although I'm interested to see how I'm being hypocritical, I'm agreeing to disagree and drop the subject because I don't want to argue about it. Unlike most on the interwebz, I think online arguing is dumb and pointless.

Eh, I'll tell you anyway: You're entire persona around here seems to revolve around erotic conversation, sex talk, gang bangs, blah blah blah. Your signature has a joke about being "moist in it." If that's your thing, whatever, I don't care. But now you're turning around and criticizing an adult woman for talking about having consensual sex with her adult husband. Beyoncé has just as much right to "erotic conversation" as you.

Saying you think it's being presented in a negative way sounds like you think it's bad. Why do you think it's being presented in negative way? I've never seen the song that way, so I don't understand that perspective.

Their going to be airing her concert footage each week before True Blood for the Mrs Carter Tour. I hope she discusses the lyrics. It seems to me like she wanted to make her newest album a feminist album that embraces sexuality as a normal part of human nature that doesn't necessarily have to be swept under the rug. She's had some criticism (Jennifer Hudson, in particular), but her songs do seem to reflect her and Jay-Z just from my casual listening ear. I think this is the first album where she seems to fully take in her own sexuality and have an open dialogue about having a healthy sex life. That's good in my eyes (and ears), but I can see how some could be offended if they are more conservative fans...

I assume that it's really these two lines:
Oh he so horny, yeah he want to fuck He popped all my buttons, and he ripped my blouse
Which don't imply that he forced anything on her but I guess the fact that it's "he want to fuck" and not that they both want to is what's causing that thinking. I didn't take it that way (it seems like she's saying that the pleasure was so good that he wanted more) but I guess the popping buttons/ripping a blouse seems more forceful than it's meant to be. Could just be in the heat of the moment like when a guy and a girl rip each others clothes off in a consensual way.

For the record this is from the Big Lebowski.
lol I thought that it seemed familiar. The "Coitus. Do you like it?" part in particular.

I find it a great power for a woman to have to make a man so crazy that he wants to pop off her blouse and make a mistake on her dress. Especially after years of marriage. A power that Beyonce seems to enjoy having over a multi-millionaire named Jay-Z. Most celebs are cheating on their spouses. Bey can't even make it to the club. Hehe
She was at Memphis in May in hot hot HOT weather on a Sunday at a smaller stage a few years ago. She put on a show, too. I think she was followed by Jerry Lee Lewis.
