I was certain we would get it this year due to his involvement in BLAM, but I could see a Beatles themed Wayne Coyne superjam coming off of his "With a Little Help from my Fwends" album.
Other than that, David Byrne and Dave Grohl superjams would be awesome.
I'll always pray for a Jack White superjam (probably bluegrass), in reference to the hip hop artist that could bring people together... I can't help but think what a shame it is that J Dilla isn't still around to make this happen. Also, the Beatles superjam with Coine would be amazing. Punk superjam curated by Julian Casablancas would be great and a Blues superjam curated by Adam Deitch (from Lettuce).

I said David Byrne three times in the porto this year. We'll see if it works.
I heard And She Was on the radio right before I started drinking tonight. It's a sign.
Waittttt... Does that mean they should have a "talking heads" THEMED super jam OR a super jam with David Byrne!?!? Because it would be amazing either way, but I don't think either are likely to happen.

Really don't see either happening, but that is what the week after Roo is for. Unrealistic guesses!
Dave Grohl would be amazing but I can't see it ever happening.
That would be great. Nirvana and Foo Fighters songs, and covers of everything from Prince to metal to folk music. And I imagine he would have quite the guest list.

All 3 Superjams.
Give me a cheeky, cynical pop jam w Colin Moulding or Jarvis Cocker or the English Beat guy, an electrosoul jam w Little Dragon and Bobby Womack + more and a Tony Allen-driven afrobeat jam.
(1) Damon Albarn (2) Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (3) King Khan & His Shrines (4) Ty Segall (5) Ms Lauryn Hill (6) Darkside (7) Kanye (8) Janelle Monae (9) Goat (10) Meshuggah.

This. Still curious as to what might have been with Wayne Coyne and Ben Folds had that lived beyond BLAM. Also, intrigued by the idea of Chris Thile in the OP, although Ed Helms has done a pretty decent job curating the Bluegrass Situation the last two years.

I've seen plenty of artist rants in my time. Bowie, kris Kristofferson, cake, U2, to name a few.
I suggest we have a rant super jam so all the artists at bonnaroo that are there that night can go and rant and those who want to hear it can go to the rant super jam. Kanye could host, the singer from cake could host, Jack white could host. Almost any artist really could host.

This is what I posted in the "I'm Paul Peck, producer of Bonnaroo SuperJams" AMA from a month ago: Just putting this out there for my dream SuperJam: The Last Waltz SuperJam, evvverybody loves The Last Waltz, so why not have it performed front to back. Have a house Band, similar to the Rock & Soul SuperJam, to perform The Band tunes, then have special guests come on to "play the role" of Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters etc. Also of course, try to get as many originals as possible. I couldn't think of a more incredible SuperJam possible. PS: 2018 will be the 40th anniversary of the concert, start working on it now to make it amazing! Please!
Paul Peck's response: Yeah dude I've thought about this soooooo much you don't even know! Also, love the idea of recreating the Basement Tapes or possibly Dylan's '75 Rolling Thunder Revue (which is my favorite period of his career)
Ben Folds was the most unnecessary part of Friday's Superjam, honestly. I loved every single thing about it except his contribution.
i agree he was unnecessary, but it is not like he took away from anything. He yelped once and disappeared like he was never there.
i like Ben, which is why it was great Elton brought him out. After JJ's Superjam, i was really expecting something special this year. trucks is great but i'd be lying if i said i wasnt a bit let down.

That's kinda how I felt. It was great and all but after last years I was hoping for some sing a long songs. If it hadn't been late night I think it may have been one of my favorite shows of the weekend, but since it was late night I was kind of expecting a bigger party.

I feel like there was a whole lot of blues/classic r n b/funk that could have been tapped into. It was an excellent display of musicianship all around, but I felt something was missing. Maybe my expectations were too high.
