Pretty safe to assume that Freefest will be 9/20 at Merriweather and that Outkast will be there (they currently have no plans that weekend). This fest is usually a clusterfuck, but a decent value.

Actually, Lana and Bastille both played the Sweetlife Fest in the spring, so I doubt they're back. Banks is at the 930 Club that same week so probably no dice there either.

This will be a new thing for me. Soberish GLand. I'm just hoping for a less heavy dance festival than last year was. Most of the names I would want have played DC recently (or will by that time).

I'll be going again this year (3rd in a row) as long as my finances are in order. I love the MPP and security is pretty light. I've been able to get a free pair of tickets both years I've gone. Hoping for The Mats so I can see them twice in September!
Oh gosh. Lorde and Outkast are the two bands left on my "must see this summer" list, and I was starting to think that I would not be able to catch either of them.
Why are we thinking that it'll be the 20th? My fingers are crossed that it is, but looking at old posters this festival has taken place anywhere from Aug 30 to Oct 4. I am currently booked for Sept 27 and Oct 4 so I was starting to get afraid that this would be my first Freefest that I would have to sit out.
Now to make sure I get tickets for a 6th year in a row. Heck, with Outkast and Lorde I'd consider buying VIP passes if I miss out on the free passes.
