I love how this festival consistently allows me to knock 2 or more bands off of my "bands to see this summer" list right before summer officially comes to an end.

The bands that will likely still be on my list this year when FreeFest comes around: Outkast, Lorde, Disclosure (Europe up to 9/14, no tour dates yet after that), First Aid Kit (will be in Europe at the time of Freefest), Grimes, Frank Ocean, Robyn & Royksopp, Tune-Yards, Haim

I'm just leaving this here to see if I get as lucky this year.

You didn't like last year's lineup? I loved me some Sky and Chvrches. Vampire Weekend and Avetts are always a good time. I surprisingly enjoyed Robin Thicke and Icona Pop. Overall, even with the rain, it was a great day for free.

I would say you/we are still spoiled for getting a music festival of this caliber for free.

Sure, if the paid Pimlico fest was still a thing, I'd have found my way there by now. But Free Fest always has a handful of bands worth checking out.

Aug 30th is open there, but is same weekend as Electric Zoo and a bit close to too late to announce for that date now.

Sept 27th is open, but that would somewhat compete with Tomorrowland for acts.

October 11th is open, but that would be the latest they've ever had the festival.

I'm stumped at this point.

It looks like there's an all day country concert that starts around noon on 10/5.

It's probably doable, but I can't imagine they would try to turnover Freefest into that in under 15 hours.

Austin City Limits I just noticed is the weekends of 10/4 and 10/11 as well.

If the theories on Outkast headlining are correct though, they do have an open weekend on 10/11 based on their posted tour schedule
