Radiohead? Firefly got Foo Fighters right before they released a new album when no one else had them. They have headlined Roo, and I think they would be a big enough draw (I love them, but I know not everyone does.

Where are you getting the past-Roo headliner qualifier from? I went through launchpad and infinity's recent posts and didn't see anything referencing the fact that it's someone who headlined bonnaroo previously. I'm sure I just missed it, but could you point me to it?

Do you remember who it was who made the claim so I can go back through their recent posts? Sorry, just trying to find where the info came from. If we can really potentially narrow it down to prior Roo headliners, that narrows things considerably.

I don't but that's the pool we've been working with for the last day or so. that's why the Bruce/McCartney speculation picked up. If you do feel so inclined to go looking, godspeed and don't hesitate to quote it here if you miraculously find it.

Went back and did a good old CTRL-F for "headline" in both Infinity and Launch's recent posts back to the 5th. Found Launchpad saying that the third name is "pretty huge" and a lot of people would be drawn to the festival purely for this name, but no reference to someone who headlined Roo in the past. Is there anyone else who supposedly has Firefly inside info?

I'm sticking to the Roo headliner theory, I know for a fact I saw if but obviously that does nothing for you. And he had to have been talking about Firefly because in the original post it says "Prince for Hangout and Bruce for FF", nothing really ambiguous there.
Yeah, no one in the Hangout threat was talking about Bruce and infinity replied to my direct comment which was a link to the Bruce blog that had the Firefly rumor.

That does seem like it's referring to Firefly, but I could see it being referencing Hangout, too.
And the fact that everyone is discussing the fact that it was mentioned that the third artist previously headlined Roo *does* do something for me, I just like to see the text itself to see if I think I can glean anything else from it.
Edit: It *does* seem like Infinity's comment is likely referencing Firefly. I still can't find any sort of reference to to the third FF headliner having headlined Bonnaroo, though (though I'd love to find it).
Edit Again: Combing through stuff more thoroughly, I've noticed a few posts that Launchpad has edited since the initial post, so I'm thinking this tidbit of information must have gotten lost in one of those.

I saw the former roo-headliner theory, too. If you look at posts following him saying a 3rd he can't announce, you'll see Springsteen and McCartney being thrown around as a result. He might have thought that was too much info and pulled it down. Boss/Macca seem to be the toss ups for that spot as a result.

Its probably U2 and that would push me pretty far out of doing firefly this year considering the other two headliners. Coldplay or Paul would certainly change that, I'd at least sell my 4 day pass and get a single day ticket

Wouldn't that be something if Firefly had a better headliner group then Roo
Two years in a row I believe Firefly has had just as good of a lineup as Roo, if not better. The big difference has been Bonnaroo got Macca in 2013.
Also, is your name on here any relation to Redford University?
The core was solid last year but we only had 2 true headliners (still refuse to call JJ a headliner). And no, honestly it's just something easy I knew I wouldn't forget haha.
Firefly lineup has way to mainstream of a card to ever be thoguht of as one of the best and last years was no different, full of abnds you can see anytime pretty much
