Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
IF the new album is solid, it would be the most packed non-headlining show in a while, if not ever, and would be more packed than some headlining shows in the past, in my humble prognostication. I also believe that this would help a lot of Roo folks buy tickets, moreso than many of the other third headliners they've booked in the past. After over 40 festivals, I have still never attended a festival where I was excited about all three headliners. Forecastle will be the first later this month. There's always a throwaway headliner for my tastes, so maybe it's just wishful thinking, but my aforementioned points make sense to me. Now you can slay me.
Where do you guys think they would have been billed in this year's lineup? Somewhere between 6th and 10th in my opinion. Even with their Bonnaroo history I don't think they can headline.
6th feels about right. That top line is pretty damn solid as it is though, there could easily be a situation where they're 4th.
Elton John - Kanye West - Jack White - Lionel Richie - Vampire Weekend My Morning Jacket - The Avett Brothers - Phoenix - Skrillex

Probably between Lionel Ritchie and Vampire Weekend, or thereabouts. No way would they be down at #10 (for reference, they were #9 in '08 and #6 in '11).
As much as I would love them to headline, I can't quite see it at this point, unless Bonnaroo goes for a massive #1 name.

Looking back through the past few lineups, MMJ tends to land around 5-6 in most. But a lot depends on their new album -- how good it is, how well it sells, and what kinda gigs they book between now and next summer.
FWIW, Z and It Still Moves are pretty much tied for their best album. Circuital and Evil Urges are pretty close -- both all right albums that each will contribute a few great songs to any MMJ set
And let's be real here, MMJ albums exist to give them dope songs to play live. Kinda like Jack White's solo albums
We don't talk like this around here. I'd appreciate if you didn't either.
not a problem, i did not mean anything negative by it. my friends and i use it freely, white and black people alike.
definetly didnt mean any offense, but are we really going with the urban dictionary as a source for the term? throw in some wikipedia pages to really back up the point that its a racial slur, that'll help.
really though, sorry for offending anyone. ill just refer to the bunch as kind intelligent folk.

For the record, it's the furthest word in the English language from 'acceptable in conversational use'
"Notable usage, 2003 Oxford English Dictionary[80][81]: The prosecutor [Christopher Darden], his voice trembling, added that the "N-word" was so vile that he would not utter it. "It's the filthiest, dirtiest, nastiest word in the English language."
Wow, I'm surprised Circuital isn't higher on everybody's list. They're my solid #2 sandwiched between It Still Moves and Z. I listen to this album a lot.

I did not write that word. I explained how the term n$@&at is used in my personal life. And apologized when it when construed as offensive on inforoo. Your Wikipedia link doesn't mean shiz. Especially when you are quoting way harsher of a word then I ever said and apologized for. Honestly, did not anticipate such backlash which is why I though it ok. I'll admit, it was a lapse of judgement. Now link my a wiki page to judgement quick so I know it's true meaning

If you want to drop the discussion, drop it. Asking for a Wkipedia link instead of an UrbanDictionary link is, well, asking for a Wikipedia link. It's hard to apologize when you're still being argumentative and catty.
When a word has such powerful negative connotations as the word 'nigger', you don't suddenly fix it by using the word 'nigrat', which, being a combination of the words 'nigger' and 'rat', might even be more offensive, not less. In general, though, you can expect variations on the word 'nigger' to be as unacceptable in casual conversation as the word itself.
Back to MMJ -- I gave Circuital a listen last night, and it's way better than I remembered. I'm actually pretty excited now for a new album/tour. Give these guys a LN stage set and let em blow us all away.
