Here's an idea. How about we just hope that the "edm headliner" is someone different than the same Bassnecter/Pretty Lights talk. And I'm not talking Calvin Harris/Avicii either. Skrillex has upped his game ten fold so that was a pleasant surprise but I have a feeling anybody "big" they get will ultimately be one of those radio EDM prog. house guys this time around.

i guess the hope you could hold out for still is Deadmau5...as far as non prog house goes...and a big new name. he's played in tents in the past i believe, maybe once, not sure
his sets do get a little stale but some of his new stuff brings a fresher twist

I've been clamoring for anything that leans more trance and less progressive house. i just don't think americans dig trance like they dig progressive house.
progressive house is such a bullshit term for a genre. actual house music is more progressive than progressive house.

It would be awesome to get Prydz as the headliner
that is probably the most realistic Which stage type EDM artist we could all get behind.

i'm just honestly not sure if justice or prydz would be a big enough "main stream" edm name for bonnaroo to put them as the headlining edm act. if we don't get mau5 it'll probably be a bassnectar year imo

Of course they are. Justice already had a headlining spot at Lollapalooza two years back (not even the Perry's EDM Stage.. They played last on one of the two big stages); and Prydz played at Madison Square Garden last month.

I still see them as a tent act as well, but wouldn't be surprised if we get diplo or major lazer this year, don't see them filling two spots with basically diplo

"EDM headliner" just really refers to the first/biggest electronic act on the bill. A&B could be the "EDM headliner" if the rest of the EDM consist of Flume, Beats Antique, and a few other undercards.

correct, when i say edm headliner i'm speking to who will play late night which. i'd love to see A&B on which with a variety under card, flume, flying lotus, porter (although porter is getting pretty big for a tent)

They would never do it but I would LOVE a Markus Schulz set of any kind. Steve Angello seems to always put on a completely unique set as well. Although now that I think about it. It wouldn't completely surprise me if they did Axwell ^ Ingrosso or Alesso (since he is coming out with an album soon)
