Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
To start the New Year I’m making some new changes and have decided I'll no longer be caking fans at most festivals. There might be an exception here or there but for the most part I'll be saving the CAKE for my headline shows, keeping it exclusive for the die hard fans. So if you want to get caked, come to one of my headline shows like the Neon Future Experience that is happening across the USA and Canada in Feb/March, or at my upcoming Manchester and London shows, or in Vegas and Ibiza. And to show my love to all the fans around the world that love the cake I wrote a song especially for YOU, properly titled CAKEFACE! It's up now and free to download at soundcloud.com/steveaoki. Love you to infinity and back. Now let's go forward into the neon future!!
Steve Aoki: CONFIRMED
I'm sensing some sarcasm but just in case, Aoki is in Manchester, England on February 6th.

UPDATE: I listened to that "Cake Face" song he graciously released for all his TRUE CAKE FANS, and it made me want to jam a cake into each of my ears.....it hopes that it would cancel out the monstrosity that I was hearing.
The electronic undercard at Coachella is pretty impressive, hope we can expect some of these at Roo:
Flying Lotus Caribou Squarepusher Jon Hopkins Ryan Hemsworth The Gaslamp Killer Experience Carl Craig Tourist Kygo Gesaffelstein Jamie xx Kaytranada Claude VonStroke
Flume, Hot Chip, and Rustie from Governors Ball would be nice...

Prydz tour is decently big and long because he is coming to Columbus, which doesn't necessarily get the biggest of names, albeit the venue that booked him is disappointing

Isn't Sway a smallish place? I've never been there.

I've not been since they changed the layout from Mynt but I've got a pretty good idea of the set up via pictures and friends I know who go there and work there. One of them is a resident DJ there too and it seems like it's a pretty small place overall. From what I gather it attracts a lot of the people that just want to drink and listen to Big Room/Festival House when artists come to town. I guess I can't confirm that aspect completely but I just have a strong feeling that is indeed the case. I do know that when Thomas Gold came to town that he played a really generic set and a few friends were pretty put off by it. I really wish they would have just booked him for the LC and been done with it. Would have been far more perfect for someone like him. Or Bluestone at the bare minimum.

You feel like you're trapped in the basement of a house party at SWAY. I can't believe they couldn't get him into Newport, LC, or Bluestone. Love me some Prydz but SWAY combined with it being on a Wednesday may keep me away.

And Coach got John Talabot. I don't know anything real about his live sets, but I imagine it comes across spectacularly.
Obviously Roo is not going to get close to Coach's electronic and Caribou and FlyLo are looking to be festival whores on tons of lineups. What can Bonnaroo pull to make everyone take notice?
The only one I can recall him doing offhand was Oya last year.
Looks like he also played FYF last year. Setlist.fm only has 15 shows listed for 2014, with only 2 of those being in the U.S.
I think I recall he was supposed to play FYF with a band, but something cause him to perform a DJ set. Or, he just played a full band set out of the country, so everybody assumed his FYF set was supposed to full band and it wasn't.

Hopefully a few more artists of a similar caliber, maybe some from that list. Basically the type of booking they did for Moogfest and Mountain Oasis, if only 5-10 acts in that vein.
I think that Flume is a foregone conclusion at this point. For whatever reason that was one of the first people that seems to be an all around consensus that will be there. Do you live in Columbus? I know A-Trak was here on Halloween but I didn't go to that event but I heard it was pretty good.
Yeah, Columbus area. Haunted Fest was legit other than the venue He has messed with new equipment lately (making people question his live sets) but IMO A-Trak doesn't get the love because he isn't as crowd-interactive as a lot of main stream guys. It is tough to interact when you're actually spinning some 1's and 2's!.
A-Track has some of the best true DJ skills around, truly amazing to watch. His show in 2013 was awesome (my favorite DJ show of the weekend, if memory serves me correctly)

So happy this page didn't also blow up last night. Who is going to be the 2nd billed EDM act this year? Last year they had Skrillex/Zedd/Kaskade pretty high up. I'm not exactly sure who they could get at this point but NOW I feel more confident we would get a Pretty Lights Band or maybe a Girl Talk

idk if i'd be surprised if we still got bassnectar too honestly. skrillex/zedd = mau5/nectar?

I know people are going to groan and say no and all of that but I saw GirlTalk at an outdoor venue here back in like 2012 and it was the most fun I have ever had at a concert and have wanted to see him since. I know someone on Twitter asked him if he would be at Roo this year and he said he wasn't sure yet. Meaning he may have been in contact with them otherwise if you hadn't heard or had something else going on you would have said no I would imagine. And yea I would imagine instead of PLB we will end up with some cheese EDM act in that place but that doesn't necessarily bother me that much since we get the Mau5

Unfortunaly I agree. I'd say it's possible to have another "big name" EDM artist. My guess it's someone a lil more cookie cutter since mau5 dosnt have doez sik dropppzzz

I've seen him and he's a blast so no complaints from me.

he is a blast, but i've seen him twice now, and his bit is somewhat played out. i know it'd still be a great time

I think the Mau5 may be our cheese (pun both intended and not). I mean come on, is there really a bigger name across the EDM landscape than Deadmau5? My hope is for a Mau5/Nectar combo but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I was thinking about that this morning about Axwell ^ Ingrosso. They probably wouldn't even be a good fit in a tent to begin with. I think Porter will probably be a lock. Flume obviously. Alesso wouldn't surprise me. If they could pull out Diplo/Major Lazer/Jack U in any combo or individual I would be extremely happy. Any of those would be a good kick start to the day in a tent or stage. Does anyone know if Spring Awakening is the same weekend again?

You should of seen the disappointment at Made in America when all the bros saw their first Mau5 show. They wanted cheese and smoke cannons and instead got Joel.

Same weekend.
Ugh, that always irritates me. You know they will book some people we want to see and they will do it on days that will conflict and thus they wont play Bonnaroo. last year I know Zedd and Kaskade went up there and played later in the weekend. Deadmau5 is essentially our Skrillex this year in regards to them not booking him. Everyone else "bigger" we will have to share. There are far too many Exclusively EDM festivals for my liking these days.
