for some reason pollstar often does per venue instead of per show sometimes in their tracking so in reality BTS did 7M a show if you manually get their revenue then divide by their 6 dates. Still very impressive

I wonder what she got for DfN she seemed underbilled there, but Bodak didn't reallly take off until right after the lineup was announced, and then she was a headliner at that snowball thing in CO.

Didn't it come out she got 60k for Coachella 2018? So less than that for DfN.

Outside of that cancellation I found it generally interesting that the European festivals were paying so much more, especially since we generally associate Europe with more Rock based festivals

Arctic Monkeys getting over 3M a show doesn’t seem right
Yeah, no way. I could see them getting 1 million, but nothing more than that.
Assuming you and trantsgiving are talking about the $3.4 million Average Gross listed on the North American chart, the only non-festival show Arctic Monkeys played in North America during the time period the chart covers was at Foro Sol in Mexico City, which can hold 65k for concerts. You can see there that its being calculated based on a single concert with attendance 64k and prices $53.16 on average (64,467 * 56.13 = $3,427,273)
So yeah, obviously they don't make that everywhere, especially not in the US.

Vestiville, Wireless Germany, and Open Air Frauenfeld were all festivals with a focus on hiphop and r&b. Roskilde is the big outlier, but they've become a lot more progressive in their bookings and they booked Cardi as their biggest headliner for one of the days.

Yeah definitely. Bands like Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes that have a bit of a throwback and accessible rock sound are huge in Latin America, they represent a sort counter culture for younger people. Mexico City is also the most populated city in North America.

Better late than never, and probably a preview for the year end rankings that will be coming out in the next few months. Here are the mid-year charts for 2020!
(May be like their Top Grossing festivals lists typically are where the dataset reported to them is fairly limited or perhaps this list looks so incomplete because they only were counting through June and many artists hadn't taken to livestreaming to fans yet as replacement for touring)

I usually look through and pick out the shows I saw this year but since there were only 2 I went to all year I looked for all the acts that I have EVER seen. It's such an odd list this year that there were only 12/100 for North American list. Worldwide list was only slightly better with 14 names.
Anyone know what is up for Dead & Company's average ticket price being $427?!

Really surprised Phoebe Bridgers didn't make the list
And she moved her shows outside so there were more tickets to sell. Just looking at the updated tour dates that shouldve placed her into the top 100. In california alone there were 20,000+ ticket sold.
Wasn't the BTS concert at Sofi one of the biggest concerts ever? Surprised that didn't make the list.
220,000 tickets give or take sold wouldve put em in the top 25. Oddly enough Los Bukis are right above that and they played 2 sold out nights at Sofi on their tour. They might not classify those 4 dates as a tour? More like a one off?
edit: despite not being on the tour one, they have individual an shows chart and that shouldve placed BTS somewhere, but zip.

They all count for sure. Its a matter of reporting it or not. If Khruangbin grossed 3 million bucks, then Marc and Phoebe had a haul.
