Anyone get to catch Superclásico de las Américas???
Great match. Argentina struggled quite a bit; I'm not sure Martino is really the guy to be managing them. Can't believe the Brazilians got away with crowding and shoving the ref like that. And Messi missed another penalty. Fun match though.

Suarez played great given the circumstances. Messi didn't show up (can't believe he missed that goal from ~5 ft, that would've been a game changer).
The real problem was Enrique. Horrible Tactics. Pique should not have started. Put Mathieu and Masch in the middle and then Alves/Alba on the wings. Pique has been horrid lately and there was no reason for him to start. Also Rakitic absolutely should have started over Xavi (though I think when Rak came in he should have subbed for Iniesta) RM destroyed Barca in the middle and I think Rakitic would have been a bit more effective than Xavi. Busquets looked spotty as well, don't think he was 100% after his injury. Enrique also made some horrible sub decisions (bringing Suarez out for fucking Pedro was a sign that they'd all but given up).
That said, RM played 85 minutes of great football and the better team won.

I think youre being too harsh on him. Clasicos are not easy fixtures to manage. Luis Enrique did too much tinkering, I agree. Some of your complaints are kind of unreasonable, though. Suarez was never going to play the full 90. I also think the midfield battle would have been equally as lopsided with Rakitic starting. He would have been just as overrun. In that case, you would have been asking why Xavi hadn't started.
But at least everyone can watch the CHANGED MAN Suarez play again. I'm happy about that.

Wasn't implying Suarez should've played the whole match, but Pedro... Pedro is just not in good form. Shoulda brought someone else in. I think Rakitic would've helped, maybe not swayed the game, but definitely would've helped. But of course we're all generals after the battle. Mostly just pissed at Pique.
Suarez looked great, can't wait till the front line mesh and see what they can do.

ffuuuuu
Can't believe Barca dropped the game against Celta Vigo. I believe it's almost time to enter panic mode. Celta's keeper had an amazing game (and so did the crossbar). Some combination of bad tactics, bad luck, and bad performance cost them and if it's not fixed then I believe a top 5 finish and 2nd round CL is the best this season holds.
Looking forward to City vs United tonight. Go City.
